Man I hate watching Chiefs games, feels like every opponent is fighting against the refs. The amount of borderline if not outright bad calls, on a continued consistent basis, is just absurd. Really feels like some WWE crap.

Man, that defense unit is compete ass. I think the CB group is decent-ish and grade out worse than they really are due to zero pressure from the front 7 and no safety help. But damn that entire DLine, LBer and safety group, just utter garbage tier. Also think giving Jewell an $18.75 million contract to be a bottom tier LBer doesn't get talked about enough. I also remember saying around mid-season that Coker should be ahead of XL on the depth chart, and nothing has happened to change my mind since. Forcing a ton of snaps and targets to XL despite his poor play has been a real determent to the team.

I think the issue is mostly lack of talent, not coaching. But I still don't agree with keeping him on board. When you're in the running for the worst defense in NFL history a change in direction/scheme is warranted regardless of talent level. Prefer to switch back to 4-3 and bring in a new coach. "More of the same" when you're historically bad doesn't seems like a good idea, but we'll see.

Very possible the top 7 taken are the 2 QBs, Carter, Graham, TMac, Travis Hunter and Will Johnson. And the phone's not ringing, nobody wants to trade up. So you can't trade down either. Who you taking then?

A couple spots isn't that bad. The draft is weird anyway, sometimes you "miss out" on the guy you really want - who ends up being a bust - and have to "settle" for a guy that ends up being a superstar. Can't really say right now how much (if at all) this will change things for the Panthers, I'm not really worried about it either way. Most important thing is to draft the right players, regardless of where you pick.

FWIW, his stats are basically identical to BY. This crop of free agent QBs blows. Draft doesn't look any better. Probably stuck with another season of bottom tier QB play and 4-6 wins.

Funny people are willing to throw out earlier games and apply a recent window onto an entire season, and yet these are the same people screaming "BYs stats suck because he's throwing to guys like Thielen!" OK, let's give Thielen that same courtesy you're giving to BY. Take his stats since he's returned from injury and apply that to an entire season - 1,309 receiving yards, good for 3rd best in the NFL.

correct stat is 3500 yards BTW yards per game is in the 20s compared to the rest of QBs in the NFL, I think 27th or 28th but don't feel like checking

Cam had the #1 scoring offense with Tedd Ginn and Cotchery at WR and Byron Bell as his LT. Like what are we even talking about here.

We're barely avoiding being the worst team in the league for a 2nd straight season WITH Young on a cheap rookie deal. We move forward with him as a franchise QB, wait until he's asking for $50 mill a year (and he will) and see how the team looks like then.

Gave him an elite OLine, a top running back in Hubbard, Thielen balling out of his mind, a young rookie in Coker looking very promising... and we couldn't beat a single team with a winning record all year.

Guys... guys... you think we should trade BY for Josh Allen straight up? Who do you think has more upside?

"interested in trading for" can mean a lot of things. Seriously doubt we turned down some kind of big offer. Most likely a conditional 6th or 7th.

I'm guessing that's for the entire season? I remember he was in the 33-35 territory if you included the first two games, 28th if you looked at only post benching. That was last week though, but I doubt this last game changed much as it hit pretty much his exact post benching YPG average. Maybe his position still changed though, just from other players moving up, but IDK.
