  1. The yearly curse of D Line and O Line injuries is alive and well. It's almost comical.
  2. I think our best case is 7 wins. This defense is still an absolute liability. Unless the offense starts putting up 30 a game there's no way we pull off more than 7.
  3. If you go back and read where i said the "face value" of the trade was a win it might make more sense. Hypothetically if we had gotten 3 first round picks for CMC and they had all been busts, you could very easily still make the argument that we got incredible compensation for him and won the trade. Just because the players don't pan out doesn't mean it's not a good trade.
  4. Hard to believe we lost a trade when we have players that actually suit up. Great players can't do great things from the bench. He's fragile as glass.
  5. Then promptly missed an entire season due to injury. And the news out of camp isn't good.
  6. We picked the wrong team, and there's no fixing it. That's why I became a fairweather Chiefs fan.
  7. There's a bizarre fondness the fanbase has for CMC, but I was absolutely thrilled when we got rid of him and still maintain that, at face value, we absolutely fleeced the 49ers on the trade, especially if Bryce Young pans out. They got what we had. Someone who was great in stretches followed by long stretches of injury.
  8. If Thielen is that crucial to Bryce's "development" Bryce doesn't have any developing to do. He just is what he is. We've got an extremely talented receiving corps even without Thielen. No more excuses. Time for Bryce to perform.
  9. Is everyone overlooking that we essentially got a 4th round pick for a guy who was for sure retiring after this season. Yes, he's our best receiver, but the reality is this team is not poised to do squat this year. They have to keep loading up on draft picks. I am assuming Minnesota picked up part of the salary as well, so we could potentially grab a linebacker from somewhere, which we desperately need.
  10. I feel the exact same as I did last season. I'm excited to continue improving my golf game on Sundays.
  11. Can't think of a better place to spend the money than there.
  12. All I know is a sh*tty right tackle cost us a championship back in 2015. Pay the man. Your o-line can never be too good.
  13. I can't think of any players we have that they'd want. Their offense is loaded and trading anyone from our (very weak) defense defeats the purpose of this trade. I'd say there is virtually no chance we make this happen.
  14. I think it stems from the team being this bad for this long. This is the worst stretch of performance the organization has had in its history. It's been absolutely brutal. People are throwing in the towel and/or freaking out. I get it.
  15. BREAKING NEWS: Shocking updates to the depth chart. This week the Panthers, shockingly, announced that nothing newsworthy has occurred with their depth chart.
  16. My main take from this - Dave Canales has all the traits of Pete Carrol that I love. I really think (and hope) he's the right guy to lead this team.
  17. We can easily find cap space and we definitely have trade capital. Doesn't mean we should take the trade, but those two things aren't issues whatsoever.
  18. Coker legitimately might be the best receiver on the team.
  19. Great point. It's a combination of the two.
  20. It's because we owned the Bucs for so long that they aren't as offensive.
  21. I've said a few times here, but I'll say it again. If you just watch his film, it's startling how wide open he was getting and how often he was doing it. If he finds his hands he's going to be a problem.
  22. 49ers fans are rejoicing at this very moment.
