Just a thought I've had since Wardo left Carolina and then retired: Mrazek and Reimer have been so much better in shootouts than Cam ever was. Anytime a game went to a shootout back with Cam I always felt like it was pretty much a loss.....

You have got to give to get whether we like it or not. I still don't think it's going to happen, we will either get a QB we like at #8 because our draft intel will be good enough to know what is going to happen 1-7, we may trade up if we feel like we can get a QB we really like, or if we just can't get what we want at #8 we'll trade back a little and get an extra later round first and maybe a 2nd if we deal well.

Man Trocheck has gotten off to a hot start, I hope this bodes well for his entire future in Carolina....he must like Raleigh! Also, having Nino and Dzingel on the scoresheet early in the season has to give them confidence as well....again I hope they keep it up. Finally, kudos to our taxi squad....they have really played well.

Stafford has never had a solid team around him and save Megatron he's never really had as good of receivers as what we have currently. Stafford can make all the throws and is a certified NFL QB. If we aren't getting "our" guy in the draft and know that we can't afford Watson then I take Stafford and be extremely happy.

Forslund is the BEST play by play broadcaster in hockey....awesome calls of the game without going overboard and being too much of a homer! He is missed!

Detroit will get a first for him......it will be a mid to late round first in this draft or a 1st from a team next year that feels confident that their pick will be a mid to late first rounder. Panthers need to play the long game here if there's going to be a trade for a QB.

Unless we get a QB who can sling the ball more than 15 yards Tyreek would be wasted! We may have early success with bubble screens and quick slants with him, but the league would catch on and do everything to stop these.....not saying Hill can't get YAC though. He's fast af.

We won't be drafting Mac Jones at #8....it just won't happen. I think we all want Watson, but it would gut our team to give the Texans what they want. Also, the Jets have the player/draft ammo to make it happen and a returning owner who loves to make a splash with big names. The hiring of Saleh helps too.....I just think it's too much for the Panthers to overcome.

We could carry Stafford and Teddy for a year and then cut Teddy after the '21-22 season. Not saying I am a proponent of this, but if we can't land a QB in the draft that we truly want and feel confident in I'd rather have Stafford than Teddy.

If you notice the Chiefs will often let the defensive ends of their opponents get up field easily and Mahomes slides up and into the vacated side to throw the ball. It's intentional and it allows Remmers and their other tackles to not have to "block" the DE rush per se......they block the DEs trying to come back and get Mahomes from behind and usually by that time Mahomes has already gotten rid of the ball.

I think you nailed it with your first point, it has to be at the right cost. We can't overpay for Stafford.
