  1. John Skelton would be mad that you confused him with Ryan Lindley. The Cardinals that day had a total of 78 yards of offense, lowest in NFL history for a playoff game
  2. I wish I could remember who it was that challenged several people to a fight on South Tryon street, that was insane. I wondered why Grits was gone for good, he got banned under at least a dozen usernames but within about 2 or 3 posts people would figure out it was him when he’d come back. I actually saw his name on the comments section of an article from the rock hill herald about the panthers a couple of months ago. I’m sure he has some scorching takes about the commanders having to change their name.
  3. Even if that’s true, what would have happened next? We would have gotten boat raced by the Cowboys in a home playoff game.
  4. Better off right now, yes. But likely a ceiling of 8-9 wins this year and 38 million a year through 2026 for a QB who is middle of the road on his best day? Is that not a repeat of what we have done and failed with since Cam left? Agreed on everything else though - there’s no coherent strategy, the front office keeps misevaluating where they stand as a team and making moves accordingly. It’s mind boggling that they didn’t do a true rebuild at any point since 2019
  5. My theory: Tepper chose what he thought was a middle ground between the two sides of the fan base on what they wanted. One faction wanted Steve Wilks, the other faction wanted an offensive mind to develop a new QB. One of the things that people loved about Wilks was that he was a Charlotte guy, and had ties to the franchise from the past. He picks Frank because it’s a guy with a background in offense and is a former panther so both boxes are checked. Pretty sure he wants a Time Machine to go back and fix that one.
  6. I don’t buy the narrative that the Texans “ruined” Carr. There’s a strong chance that he wasn’t that good in the first place. If Bryce is as physically and mentally tough as we think it is, he should be getting as many reps as he can for the future. If our coaches can’t stop him or any other QB from getting “decimated” then they don’t need to be here.
  7. I am well aware of what the counting stats say for Collins but if you ever watched him play before this year you would understand that he played on a bad offense, showed promise and wasn’t “ass” as the other guy pointed out. And guess what TheRed? There can be nuances to these discussions. So far it looks like the Texans have the better QB…I’ve never said anything different so you can stop trying to once again read words that aren’t on the screen.
  8. Woods was a Tennessee titan last year and LA Ram the year before that and Nico Collins was showing signs of coming on in his 2nd year which was last year. PFF predicted his breakout this off-season. Collins might have already had a breakout season in 2022 if not for a couple of injuries and below-par quarterback play. His 72.4 PFF grade ranked only 35th among wide receivers last season; however, passes going his way were completed only 56.9% of the time, the 10th-lowest rate in the NFL despite Collins not dropping a single target all season. In fact, he was just one of nine receivers not to drop a pass among players with at least 50 targets last season. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-breakout-candidates-all-16-afc-teams-chiefs-kadarius-toney-steelers-kenny-pickett The Texans have also been 3 different head coaches and offensive coordinators the last 3 years so not sure how you can claim it’s the same offense just with a different QB.
  9. When leaky faucet dropped the nugget that Franks preferred choice was to sign Derek Carr rather than draft a QB at all, that should have clued us in what he’s about. You would think after that approach has failed him so often in Indy and knowing how many times it’s burned us over the last several years that it’s just not a fit. Steichen who has the track record of developing QBs in recent years would have made much more sense.
  10. He has been over both the completion percentage you mentioned every single game, and more than 150 in every game except Atlanta in week 1 where he was 4 yards short. Might wanna push the goalposts further out.
  11. The saints fan blamed Phil for the low turnout and got so legit mad he wanted to fight, it was priceless. I never had a single issue with Phil, his feud with that guy and Alice were legendary.
  12. What exactly are we protesting and what is the goal of this? Like do they expect tepper to come out and throw his hands up and say “Alright, I can’t take all this noise, I’ll selling the team to you guys for $1, just don’t make me listen to it anymore”. Sidenote: Remember when Saints fans tried to have a protest for Bountygate’s penalties and PhillyB trolled the Facebook page bad enough that the organizer challenged him to a fight? I think like 15 people showed up including Alice.
  13. Rashee Rice is getting better by the week, don't be surprised if he starts to take off in the second half of his rookie year
  14. In a place called the fuging WINDY CITY. You can’t make this poo up
  15. “He must not be able see over the line”
  16. Terry is a beast, no doubt, like DJ he has put up 1000+ yards seasons with several other JAGs throwing him the ball. The less than 3 catches a game comment was about Gibson. Jahan Dotson and Curtis Samuel are solid too. I can forgive you on mistaking Reed for Thomas, they both seem to be hurt a lot.
  17. You are not helping yourself by naming a guy who hasn’t been on the team for 4 years and another who is averaging less than 3 catches a game.
  18. They were bad in the Seattle game too to be fair. Complementary football is not in this teams vocabulary.
  19. We sucked three weeks ago and it wasn't allowed if it was about bad pre draft evaluation takes on CJ Stroud. But it is allowed for Sam Howell, because....UNC? Just trying to understand why one of those is fun and the other isn't?
  20. Frankie Luvu is even better this year - and before he got hurt Yetur Gross-Matos was showing a pulse when I wasn't even sure he would make the team this year. But yeah other than that I've got nothing
  21. So we can bump old threads if it's about former UNC players who play for the Commanders? Got it
