Please play the following song for your significant other that likes the Cowboys.

I still think the Panthers “did well” to get their package of picks from the 49ers, and that puts them in a better position to move up in the 2023 NFL Draft and snag a quarterback. McCaffrey at that time seemed injury plagued. He had missed 23 of 33 games during the 2020 and 2021 seasons, though he has been healthy this year.

That is the gospel. I was sweating each pick in front of us and could hardly believe he lasted long enough for us to select him. -

That is correct and one reason it is so hard to get an elite NFL Tackle out of the NFL Draft. -
Do you trust Reich to find us (and develop) a franchise QB?
KatsAzz replied to t96's topic in Carolina Panthers
Reich is a offensive minded head coach with experience in the NFL, experience getting more from lesser quarterbacks, and has little in the way of tangible connections to previous coaching staffs. He could represent the clean break in a positive direction that many fans were hoping for out of the Matt Rhule era. -
Just glad the Panthers didn't give up draft choices and sign Payton, something I think would have been a mistake, considering everything. .
-
It seems changes certainly have a way of happening fast in the NFL.
-
Good!!! It couldn't happen to a better team.
-
For the life of me, I cannot understand what Irsay sees in the inexperienced Jeff Saturday that makes him think he will be a good NFL HC when there are lots better candidates to chose from.
-
Bingo!!! You cannot beat Bojangles!!!
-
(" I think a first, future second, and any prospect not named Morrow or Nikishin should get it done. ") That sounds reasonable!
-
If the Panthers let Bozeman walk, the parties responsible would need to be fired.
-
I cannnot see Steve Wilks remaining here with the Panthers for obvious reasons that have been pointed out. Hopefully he will soon get a much deserved HC position on another team because he is certainly better than some that are presently in that position.
-
I feel certain that Steve Wilks was feeling let down because he didn't get the Panthers HC position but he still showed his usual class in the wording of his statements. I really liked Wilks and wish him the best of fortune going forward. He is a good leader of men and will be an asset to the next team that receives the benefit of his input.

I pay little attention to them, fans will be fans. After they have a losing 2023 season, they may be wishing they had him as a head coach.
-
I feel sure he will have a news conference shortly pertaining to the hiring of our new head coach . That will give us some insight on what he is planning to do going forward with the team and what he expects out of Frank Reich, his new head coach.

Aaron Rodgers is back where he wants to be: In the middle of the drama
KatsAzz replied to ladypanther's topic in NFL
Dov Kleiman @NFL_DovKleiman Update: The #Packers will not be trading Aaron Rodgers within the NFC Conference. They "will explore" the idea of trading the QB exclusively to the AFC, per @AdamSchefter -
The Panthers have never had a head coach with an offensive background in franchise history, and perhaps not coincidentally, they've only had three top-10 offenses during those first 28 years.
-
If the Panthers did select Anthony Richardson at #9, I cannot think of a better HC than Reich to develop him and have him reach his full potential as an NFL QB.

Do you trust Reich to find us (and develop) a franchise QB?
KatsAzz replied to t96's topic in Carolina Panthers
I fully expect Reich with his experience with QB's, to be able to get the most out of a veteran QB ,or develop a young QB like Corral or one the Panthers draft. -
I'm also wishing Wilks, who I liked, success wherever this takes him next!
-
I believe that Reich will be able to get a lot of top notch, asst. coaches and that is one reason I was on board for the Panthers to select him.
-
I feel bad for Wilks, who I liked and hope he gets a well deserved HC job in the near future with a defense needy team . The fact Tepper's wanted to change the Panthers direction and hire an offensive minded HC, pretty much left Wilks out of the running to be the Panthers next HC.
-
Now, the Panthers are charting a new course, and Reich gives them an opportunity to change their style while sliding comfortably into a city that's changed considerably since the last time he was here. He's been there. He's done that. His experience set him apart from all the other offensive coaches they interviewed. And while his background is different than the guys who held the job before him, his personality makes him a fit here. Reich is understated, he's calm, but he exudes the gravity and leadership the job demands.
