  1. Hmm…wishful thinking IMO. The top 3 guys are going very early IMO. I think it is basically a sure thing the first 2 picks will be QB.
  2. The way this is shaping up these 3 QBs are going to be gone very early in this draft. The Panthers could absolutely be caught with their pants down with no option to draft a QB. Sucks
  3. I have to do an about face a little on the game. I have it so I popped it in to replay and man…I have to say it is slow and honestly pretty boring. I think FromSoftware games have ruined games like this for me. By all means everyone should come to there own conclusions but games like this or the Uncharted series are basically unplayable for me anymore.
  4. If the Panthers were at #1 I would take Young. That is just my opinion. Young will very quickly become one of the best players in the NFL.
  5. Not a big fan of Johnston….Mayer article for context https://fightingirishwire.usatoday.com/lists/notre-dames-all-time-tight-end-touchdown-reception-leaders/
  6. Never say never. #9 lacks talent…which again concerns me. Who would you take? I like a quote from Bill Parcels…he valued players that can get you TDs. Mayer, even at TE, scored a lot of TDs in college. He is probably the safest pick in this draft IMO.
  7. Although they all bring things that would help us the value at #9 is suspect. I personally take Jaxon Smith-Njigba because although he lacks blazing speed he is a really solid all around WR. He is my #1 WR so he helps. Michael Mayer would be interesting there. He has like zero negatives except maybe explosiveness but he is going to be good to great. My really big problem with Johnston is his tendency to disappear in games. He drops to many balls too. Just not a fan. Addison is really talented but his size is a serious problem for me.
  8. @Verge…it’s almost draft time and I don’t follow social media much. I really value your QB evaluations each draft season. Please post us links to your efforts here. There are some really polarizing opinions on these QBs so would be interested in your rankings and analysis.
  9. I am seriously very concerned about us at #9. It feels like there is a drop off after pick 7 IMO and we could be sitting there with no way to move up and no way to move back. If Chicago won’t deal I am calling Arizona already as well. We need to spend picks and move up badly. I guess if we are sitting at 9 we could take Mayer but damn…not loving the options there. I have decided I don’t want AR15. Just don’t I am convinced the top 3 QBs are gone by pick 6
  10. I mean a good tuna fish sammich is hard to come by.
  11. If CMC is healthy he is one of the best weapons in the league. Always has been.
  12. I would like to look at hiring Byron Leftwich if he is interested in OC. Good experience, knows the division and I was surprised Tampa let him go honestly
  13. Thats ok, you miss lots of things
  14. Stroud is going #1. Thinking otherwise is ridiculous. If he doesn’t go #1 that means Young went #1 and he goes 2. It’s happening. I don’t buy Levis above either guy.
  15. Yes, noticed that as well. Stroud is open with his faith and mentions it repeatedly in his interviews.
  16. We have a great NFL coach that is extremely well respected and can lead the franchise. As of today I am already calling Chicago to see options to go to #1. I am going there for CJ Stroud. Before that Georgia game I would have targeted Young but Stroud opened my eyes in that game. Stroud’s efficiency over the last 2 seasons is remarkable and he has all the measurables and he is still improving. If we can secure him as our QB this team can be filled out very quickly and without question compete and win the NFC South next season. I would resign Darnold to a reasonable deal if possible as I think he is the perfect bridge with his own upside has still not completely been realized
  17. Salty article…we got the right guy. LOL
  18. One thing I am absolutely sure of is that Frank Reich knows he has to get his QB. He would still be with the Colts if he solved that problem after Luck suddenly retired. The entire Panthers brass has to know we have to solve this problem at any cost. If you are willing to mortgage the entire future for Deshaun Watson you really have to spend whatever and go get your guy. Go to #1. I personally like Young but if you are concerned at all with size just go get Stroud. If we just absolutely can’t move up then fine…move back build the team and prepare for the 2024 draft with the same intent. We are moving up to #1 if at all possible in one of these drafts. That’s my plan.
  19. I can live with Frank Reich. Do want to move up for Stroud as well.
