  1. He is the best coach we have but… we are still 30th in points allowed and 32nd in takeaways. our overall yardage allowed is a little distorted IMO
  2. It’s a problem, the Brees’ . The Bradys’. The efficient style QBs hit those like clock work. Hubbard wide open on the check down and never looked at too often on them….and instead Bryce bails out and drifts backwards creating a routine dead play. That’s free yards to set up good 3rd downs instead of a tough 3rd and long the point guard really got to fix that part. But you might be right. His size could be a factor in the checkdown being wide open and him just not seeing it. But it happens often.
  3. I don’t know if it’s Bryce or the OC….but that check down to Hubbard is so often there and it rarely gets looked at. (2nd down play)
  4. that’s a fumble. but is that a touchback? Bucs picked it up and tired to advance it. Got tackled.
  5. I mean, maybe, just maybe….Goff just isn’t a bad QB. He was a multi pro bowl QB that went to the SB. People claimed that was just McVay being McVay. Now he is a pro bowl QB again….and everyone claims it’s Ben Johnson.
  6. I’m not in favor of the franchise forcing staff on our new coach.
  7. I mean CJ would be worse in Carolina and Bryce would be better in Hou. No doubt. But I don’t think either plays out the same. everything else aside, CJ Stroud has better NFL tools than Bryce. And that really stands out given both are young and not the best versions yet of whatever they will be. There are throws that if they open up Stroud can take that Bryce can’t. Stroud can get the ball to more places effectively in less than ideal scenarios vs Bryce. There are throws and plays that just aren’t going to happen for Bryce. eventually, everyone is going to have to come to terms that Young’s arm isn’t ideal for this league and as is his size. There is a reason why there aren’t a lot of Bryce Young’s playing in the NFL.
  8. Andy Dalton has played in the NFL for centuries....and it took the most pass attempts in his entire career for us to just have a respectful passing day in terms of yardage. It took him what, 60 pass attempts or something?
  9. Nah, Bryce is A problem. I mean, that's just straight up gaslighting and lying to act like our trash WRs and scheme aren't their own issue. OL gets a little tougher to figure out because their are just countless plays where the ball should be coming out and doesn't. What occurs after that becomes a mixed bag. and you got a real bad plan if you all you offer your rookie QB...is occasionally having a WR get NFL open. And that's all the rookie has had. I do struggle to decide which is worse though, the WRs or the scheme/plays.
  10. Big picture, I don't think he has learned anything. I think he is learning small ones. That largely don't matter given the primary problem. Primary problem is Tepper. And Tepper thinks he can fix it by staying involved.
  11. my only guess is it is a NFC opening and Harbaugh has a score he would like to settle. Think he would love to get back at the 49ers. It's competition. By the team he got this team up and running the 49ers likely would have to come off of some of their current setup.
  12. Harbaugh is a tough sell for most owners. He has always been a no go for someone like Tepper. You essentially give the team to Harbaugh and Harbaugh is just going to do his thing. It has a shelf life. Panthers could use it though to get back to being respectable.
  13. McDonald's charging poor people 15 bucks for a "value meal" that is slowly killing them....in the name of a dividend and a happy quarterly call.
  14. In fairness, it is a lot easier to get the ball out on time to a well schemed play to Deebo Samuel...than it is to Adam Theilen with the defender running the route for him that frankly probably was never designed to be anything but a catch and get hit stop route. Bryce sucks. our scheme sucks. our players don't get open. It's a collective. Everyone is sort of bad and making life harder on everyone else. Everyone stinks and needs help....and there is no help avaliable.
  15. sure there is, because plenty of people, got no problem with people running their mouth getting something in return. I think he should of just been truthful. They were talking some trash. Which is fine. and Tepper acted like a punk. Them tweaking it and the lie to make themselves looking squeaky clean is technically what makes the Jag fan look bad.
  16. Well, I greatly dislike Tepper….but that doesn’t sound like the full truth. I mean we do have visual evidence he was turned around engaging with Tepper BEFORE the drink was tossed I think.
  17. Hurney was super popular. Being liked and good for the football product on Sunday are two different things.
  18. It’s basically the equivalent of who is the coolest high school teacher… i mean, having a coach players like as person is great. But what does it matter if you are likable and run one of the worst units in all the NFL? That’s Thomas Brown. He is just part of making a bad thing worse on Sunday afternoon.
  19. well, he has double digit sacks, on what is currently the #2 D in the NFL in points allowed, and his team has the best record in the NFC.... hard to bash a guy too hard given that his team is flying about as high at you can get.
  20. if Young is a Toyota, it's not a Corolla. It's a Yaris.
  21. Yeah, his lack of arm talent just removes to many plays from the table. I mean a window can open and a Josh Allen could get it there…..Bryce might not. Bryce would need to get set and get his his body behind it and that takes time and even then it might not be enough. also his size is an issue. Other QBs will be able to occasionally extend plays he can’t. They add up over time. I also think it impacts his pocket play in the NFL over the middle. Does he make plays over the middle? Sure. But I think it impacts his positioning in the pocket and doesn’t allow him to step up where others can.
