  1. Bryce had 2 throws over 10 yards the entire game. The entire game. Both were on 4th and short. Bryce‘s career says he can’t throw downfield in the NFL. Anomaly throws will exist for any QB trotted out week after week, year after year. Bryce needs man coverage to have a shot at plays. He can’t make plays downfield in to zone. Thats not even a debate at this stage you once again are taking something the Panthers did…..and trying to hang it on the QB’s neck.
  2. Bryce Young is a bad QB and there is no sane reason to pick up his 5th year. This is just the standard insane wild takes that go from one end of the spectrum to the complete opposite on a weekly basis reality is, he has been the worst QB in the NFL over the last 3 years. He stinks. OP can agree again after the next game and rinse and repeat
  3. Generally speaking, there is rarely a repeatable formula for a Bryce win. Get 3 turnovers, have Bryce do nothing virtually all game but randomly throw a couple deep ball TDs on 4th and short isn’t something you can just roll out every week
  4. That’s the game. Bryce Young had 2 throws today over 10 yards. It’s the exact type playcalls that people have destroyed Canales for on the year. 4th and short…..and launching it deep. it’s a fine line. horrible playcalls are horrible…..unless they work out. And then they are great.
  5. Because on 4th and short with a bad QB…..throwing deep isn’t expected. Carolina basically gambling and using how bad Bryce is against the Rams. normal scenario, Bryce is seeing a lot of zone and he can’t throw into it. Biggest favor in the world for Bryce is man and blitzing. That’s where he makes his few plays
  6. Carolina basically playing against the norm and sanity. Bryce has 2 throws over 10 yards this entire game…..both on 4th and short.
  7. Jim Caldwell helped hire Morgan and Canales. That makes me think, Jim has enough sway to not fire himself
  8. I think Hubbard is really good. But there is a reason you have never seen Chubba do in his career…..what Rico has done multiple times this season. I think Rico is better. And if you stack his starts at the end of Dallas through to when he got actual opportunity to be the lead dog here, it’s just better than Hubbard’s production.
  9. Thats where I start to believe in the dead internet theory. It’s already been revealed Reddit is where they really have been testing the AI bots hard. The people aren’t people. no way, real football people watch Bryce Young every week and don’t think his is a liability we are forever trying to figure out how to win in spite of him. As far as commentators, they haven’t been watching Bryce’s career…..there literally is no reason for anyone not associated with Carolina to tune into his play each week
  10. Back to back weeks of wining the turnover battle in the first half….3 INTs last week and 2 today…..and trailing at half both weeks lol. Bryce Young isn’t even a backup caliber QB.
  11. and Dave is fixated on not letting Rico find a rhythm. Both our RBs are volume RBs. Canales is clearly fixated on giving Hubbard half the ground attack.
  12. Bryce sitting at 70 yards and not a pass beyond probably 8 yards downfield completed
  13. I will never understand why coaches don’t take a timeout there and let it run down to the 2 minute warning. You basically force them into a run play before the 2 minute
  14. Heck, Sellars was turning down reportedly 8 million dollar checks last season. He better go take a good one this year at a better school
  15. I think Fitterer was ultimately fired over Frank and other mistakes…. all the other Bryce people are still here. Morgan. Caldwell. And both those dudes have more sway than Canales
  16. The real crazy part about Bryce…..is to be as bad as he is for as long as he has been…..and still have the support he does. Not just fans but the media still giving this org a pass on the absurdity at this point (but it probably is tied to what a joke this org has been and therefore really stupid doesn’t stand out like it should)
  17. The entire team is essentially better in year 2……Bryce is just the same bad QB he had always been. I don’t like Canales O. Didn’t when we hired him. Still don’t like it. But the team is trending better outside of Bryce and how he limits it all.
  18. Ben Johnson appears to be a massive prick. I would question how things would go in rough times with him because I’m sure he becomes an even bigger one then
  19. Bench him for who? A completely washed Dalton with a busted thumb on his throwing hand? Morgan screwed him.
  20. I’ve already said I think he broke the in house/tie split. And that’s probably a pretty normal thing for an owner. I think this past hiring cycle, Tepper’s reputation didn’t allow him to hire anyone good. He hired a firm to go find people. I do think we have 2 pro teams to judge him off of. I don’t think anyone good was available for him or willing to come here last cycle……..so his only option was basically to keep it all going. All we really did was remove Fitterer and change some of O coaching staff from the Frank era. The folks at the top remain more the same than they are different. Both in the front office and top O advisors like Jim Caldwell. So, I think the Bryce issue is still largely a product of the people hired…..and Caldwell, Morgan and company got more say than the unqualified Canales I was anti everyone that brought us Bryce. I wanted a new GM office. I wanted Jim Caldwell gone.
  21. Sure he will, he lets both his soccer and football people build teams. Problem was and IMO is…..the folks he hired to build the team. What is the GM office.
  22. He was handpicked by Andrew Luck. Andrew Luck knows football. Frank Reich was sabotaged. When local reporters were talking about the in house split….folks tied Frank were in the house making a hard sell on CJ as a “Frank QB”. Sure, Tepper is the dude that hires everyone but there is no doubt the split was GM office and staff IMO. Tepper broke the split and when Tepper talked about the why we went with Bryce…..it was total GM talk about roster management. and there is no way Dan and Dan’s staff were anti Bryce and Fitterer was the lone voice in the GM office selling Tepper. Still think Dan is getting a pass he doesn’t deserve on Bryce.
  23. I‘m not a fan of Caleb Williams at all. Don’t like his personality and I don’t think he will ever hit his perceived ceiling (too erratic and big play driven)….. but he has actual #1 overall talent. Like, it’s crazy to watch the vast gap in talent and tools between a real #1 overall pick and Bryce Young
  24. Coaches are pretty consistently asked about bad QB play and other options. Tepper has a good control over local media….over the last 3 years we got the worst QB in the NFL. And there hasn’t really been any noise from local media about how bad Bryce is right now and how clearly he is in the way of our success.
