I mean he is. Big picture Cam Newton is the Panther GOAT. Luke and Peppers are probably the two best actual football players. but Cam did things they couldn’t. He was the face of the franchise in a manner no one even comes close to. Cam is Carolina in a way no one comes close to.

They probably will keep Sheena and Person out. They are about the only two these days that ask legit stuff.

Treating people poorly and being low character….impacts plenty. Especially when you are in the business of managing people and bringing them in (which is football). so yeah, I’d say having someone like Rhule matters in terms of winning long term. it will impact coaches and players willing to come here. People see Joe Brady. They see Cam. They see his pressers. Matt Rhule isn’t where you want to be.

I’ve always said the team was just an investment and ego play for Tepper and it’s why I won’t buy seats for football or soccer until that changes

Wasn’t about the money to Cam or us. Cam didn’t come here for that nor did that money matter to us. the people business matters. You do that poorly….and you aren’t going to be successful in the long run. you can brush it off. But if you want Carolina to be good you should care. It was the early sign of Gettlemen being a train wreck and Rhule has told you clearly now too.

David Tepper needs to bring his brass balls and answer questions about why he is driving this franchise into the ground with this clown show no one has any interest in hearing Rhule’s bullshit.

Players in Jacksonville also were quiet while Urban was still in power. It isn’t surprising. Same applies to literally almost every situation. They have jobs and careers. They can’t speak out and when asked they are going to say supportive things. They want contracts and job security.

Yes. They brought him back for a farewell tour…. and then didn’t give him or us that. That’s kinda the point. They brought him back and sat him for Sam Darnold the moment they could. Which is again the point. Generally franchises treat GOATs better. Which is why Cam should be done with us. No argument is made he is still great or should be in our plans. But Rhule did the Panther GOAT poorly twice. Both were avoidable. The people business matters. Even in the NFL. And it’s how you know Rhule shouldn’t be here.

Sam’s been working on that since USC. His inability to hold onto the ball isn’t something he can fix. He would have done it 5 years ago if he could fix it.

I don’t buy Rhule having all the power. Think Fitt is clearly unqualified to be the rebuilding GM. can take a job and then be willing to sign off on all that nonsense as GM. Fitt isn’t the GM then. Rhule is. And that makes Fitt pointless too.

Jags even finished the year knocking off one of the hottest teams in the NFL without a HC….and they got nothing on their roster.

Outside of signing Sam. Trading our 22 draft picks for the worst QB in the NFL and needlessly picking up his 5th year option. then the pointlessly horrible and massive Robbie contract and being part of bringing back Cam to basically poop on him for Sam once given the option.
