  1. Stewart played a larger percentage of offensive snaps than any RB in our entire division in 2011. Why? Bc he made things work. He was the best option. He helped set up the offense. That doesn't show up on his stats....and why stats don't ever tell the full story...Stewart made plays work. That made him the BEST option Not Williams. and Williams had a lot of plays designed for him that year....playing off the threat and attention Cam and Stewart created. Big play for us. Williams gets the stat sheet credit. Newton and Stewart played big roles....but stat sheet wouldn't let you know that. So why did 28 play the largest percentage of snaps in our division?
  2. Meh, there really has never been that much 34 hate.... One person could claim he is old.... Then person 2 claims "Oh my gawd you didn't say something totally awesome and praising 34....why do you think he is a POS, why do you believe he punches kittens, you are crazy" Then people think someone claims he punches kittens....yet no one did. Williams was setup by Hunrey to be in a postion to fail. There was no way for him to not be criticized. Yet people couldn't handle it
  3. Stats never tell a full story....it became obvious staring in 2011 he wasn't fitting well in our new team's direction. They found ways to make some plays for him and some big runs helped mask that on the stat sheet. He wasn't even the preferred RB....so that in itself isn't excellent. And again based on his paycheck vs performance....he didn't do much over that time.
  4. I know they need a body the first 2 weeks and having a vet with their youth DOES make some sense..... Expecting an old and unspectaclar RB to be something different than what he now is.....is a waste of energy. and I repeat, he isn't better than Fozzy and the NFL is FULL of those type RBs of you want to strictly talk on field talent. I said previously that isn't what is signing was about IMO I agree GMs know EVERYTHING and can't be questioned. I said signing to RBs to featured RB deals was a horribly dumb thing and would hurt us. GM still did it. So I guess Hurney was right.
  5. If you look at what he has done based on what his paycheck/cap says he should of done.....he hasn't done much.... And in the NFL not much else matters
  6. about fit....how is Williams the 2nd best option when he doesn't really fit well at anything there. Also the Steelers drafted Archer for a reason. I would expect more to come from him (was just a rookie) AND other RBs. Williams doesn't fit the power runner or change of pace role....so how will he be the default second best option? There are Fozzy type RBs all over this league and Williams ain't a better option than that
  7. Point is simply...Williams has one broken 7 TDs once in his career. He ain't doing it now. Not as an old and unspectacular RB who will be the 3rd or 4th best optionin Pitt if he works out
  8. Pretty sure Williams had more 1 yard TDs than Stewart in 08... So....
  9. Who? DeAngelo? Williams will be an unspectacular between the 20s runner who sees some work the first two weeks and then is a JAG.
  10. Stewart has at double digit TDs more than once....so I guess that makes it about even
  11. At least Luke was attempting to do something....unlike the last play of the game Also if memory serves that wasn't even the standard PI Luke committed all year...was on the light end
  12. I think you have to credit Buffalo to everyone's new favorite CB.
  13. Yes. By NFL standards. He lumps into the bottom tier of what a NFL WR is.
  14. Dave came into town talking Hog-Mollies.... Last year it was Chandler or Bell could be the answer....now it is THe Blindside Seems like maybe we have quickly figured out his flaw....and all GMs usually have several. You need talent Dave not just size
  15. His ceiling just isn't high enough to really be continuing this experiment
  16. Bell IMO is a guy we likelt see again. One TC injury and he will be snatched up by us in a heart beat if avaliable He also wouldn't be bad as a backup T. Knows system and can go either side. Issue has always been pretending he was a starter
  17. I like him. Just wish he could jump....
  18. compared to who? He is much better than Bell at LT
  19. he is better than Bell or Chandler. So that is good.
  20. George Constanza - Jason Alexander
  21. I get Cam is "hip"....but I don't get the look his people are trying to pull off. He must have a family member that is trying to get into fashion.
  22. Carolina tagged him last year bc they were debating what to do with him bc they viewed him as so risky.....he then missed the whole season. That is showing work. You aren't gonna get Carolina to give you a list of all the reasons they believed that.....just like you didn't get a list of why 89 was such a headache. But it takes some creative thinking to believe those are made up and unfounded....and that only a team spokesman bluntly telling you would make it legit
  23. You don't dump Hardy and keep everything the same. Add some legit secondary talent and this D can be better than the 2013 defense.... Plus Hardy's "style" made him likable....but he disappeared just as much as Peppers did and everyone LOVED to bash Pep for it. But Hardy wore face paint, was funny, and was a character....which is fun. If Hardy is a important as some suggest our D would have been much worse in 2014. Especially late in the year. Is Hardy a good player? Yep. But all that matters is having a good team and we can do that without him
