Canales wants that vertical ball and BY just can't do it in the realm of what Canales wants. You can beat your DB for the homerun ball and Bryce is going to turn it into a 50/50 jump ball or force the WR to the boundary. And that's if he is set. If you get Bryce on his backfoot and off set.....he can't make a ton of throws properly. it's just a really bland O you gotta pull w/ Bryce. The highlight is the quirky scramble until humans get close.

I’m sure it’s just a random coincidence that the Carolina Panthers employ a bunch of PFF folks to help build the roster (brag about it) ….and PFF just happens to be giving illogical ratings to our starting QB. you can conspiracy theorize that a couple different ways….but it sure seems like there could be odds our guys at BOA are just getting a solid done for them by their people at PFF to spin their poor decision at QB (and QB is what makes are breaks most folks). OR….PFF is just bad and we now are making decisions of th-5 exact poor logic.

No problem. I addressed that in my 2 things I was wrong about and 1 I was right about post. XL at this point just needs to be deemed Laviska Shenault. A bad WR who has great athletic traits. Scheme him up a quirky play but he can't play WR at this level right now. We need Tmac and Coker on the outside. Renfrow in the slot. Maybe work XL into some slot relief for Renfrow w/ a schemed up play and some run blocking. I was wrong on XL. Given I didn't see this preseason I have him more benefit of the doubt than most. But I'm not going to be some Bryce Young apologist for XL that denies reality. XL stinks as a WR. We bet on raw talent and lost that bet. Is what it is.

Well, it's not a super serious post. But yeah, it is sort of fitting......Bryce is solo just watching a shell game on the jumbotron away from all his teammates....and the first thing he does that drive when asked to do something was immediately throw a pick. Not really the definition of "dialed in" lol. And the immediate pick just is the comedy icing on that cake. Tone is set better at some high schools around town IMO.

I'd wager if you put all 31 QBs in that exact spot....most end up with something better than what Bryce did there. They see Saunders. Or they at least put the ball in the realm of play for XL (4th down is an INT folks can handle). Or they just tuck it and cut back inside and try to fight for 1 yard if nothing exists. I don't think the majority of the 31 chuck it into the stands on 4th and 1

Entire Panther team is all together getting ready for their drive to start. This is the 13:26 minute mark in the second quarter. Well, except for one player off by himself. It's Bryce uniquely separated from the group just chilling. What do you think Bryce is doing? Hyping up teammates? Getting on the same page for the upcoming drive? Nah, he is consumed w/ the Jaguars jumbotron and the silly games they are showing the fans. What happens his very FIRST pass of that drive? I don't know what is worse, using clearly bad PFF takes from week 1.....or the even more comical (hard to do) fantasy takes from some random on twitter guy who awards horrific throws by Bryce as...unseen yards lol. I can deep dive stats and cherry pick stuff to make any player I want good or bad. That's the world we are living in now. It's just lying at this point.

well, you suggested if he sucked year 3 with his dude (a rookie, they generally aren't great) then he would be fired. So yeah, that's the cycle repeating. Puts Canales' QB on the new hire. You limit the new HC just like Canales was limited. I still contend the Panthers like always failed to follow through on a reasonable plan. It sure looked like David Tepper green lighted Canales moving on from Bryce Young last year. Bryce never fit the hire and was bad on top of that. Canales got the thumbs up after a mere 2 games. The entire sports world conceded it was over. Biggest question was when and how we would part with him. Then the Panthers let the miracle comeback happen and somehow we have this weird and pointless season. But Dave had his chance/opportunity that clear was Tepper approved. I think for that reason, Canales got screwed because THIS season is when he should of gotten to pick a QB (even if it was a short term vet).

why would you let that 3rd season play out like that.......let what by all accounts is a bad coach use your first round pick on a QB he wants in year 3(or Tepper).....and then immediately fire him? You then force the Canales QB on the next coach. Cycle repeats. Canales had his chance to move on from Bryce Young. It was last year when they buried him.

I think Tepper gave Canales the window to move on from BY last season after 2 games and end the BY experiment. I think Morgan for whatever reason wouldn't part w/ the QB HE drafted with Fitterer and it cameback to screw Canales. I don't see how Tepper can essentially treat Canales like a brand new start/era in year 3 at this point. Bryce got tied to him this year.

big picture went need 2 QBs though this offseason. 100% rebuilt room. We need to find a vet to start and then draft a future QB.

It’s not hard to track at all. Name any QB that has stayed on the field during that window competing with him for worst over that time span. No one exists. You don’t get the opportunity to be this bad, this long. Only examples would be guys that haven’t been out there that long. So a guy getting a year 2 this year doesn’t even qualify. Bryce already got that.

Why is our franchise a joke? well, they can give us the worst QB play in the NFL for the 3rd season…..and a huge % of the fanbase just defends it. It’s not Bryce….which is essentially Tepper. It’s his doing. So if you are David Tepper you can be HORRIBLE and people still eat it up. His investment grows and grows. No reason to be or do different. Fans will defend the comical as okay. We are starting a kid whose physical tools aren’t as good as middle school Trevor Lawrence and he plays dumb on top of that.

outside of XL not getting his feet down …. How did the WRs let him down? Or is TMac, who played great, potentially running one bad route on a play in his first NFL game enough for that claim? Despite every NFL QB facing Sunday’s with imperfect WR play, imperfect OL play, etc. excuses are just made for Bryce that aren’t recognized as just life as a QB. You can pick any QB in the NFL and find a host of plays where things didn’t go to plan around them all game

He probably goes for like 180 yards off some very very conservative throws at 60% ish completion with the RBs doing all the heavy lifting ….then Bryce defenders will declare it an example of how great Bryce can be. Bryce will have one downfield throw. An incompletion to TMac on a 50/50’ball. PFF will declare Young one of the best deep passers in the NFL week 2….because if TMac caught it Bryce would have been PERFECT!!

Correct. Bills have a great QB. We have a very bad QB. That’s the primary difference between the two on offense. You could put Josh Allen behind this OL, give him Hubbard and these weapons and you flat out get significantly better offense (and Allen already has weak coaching). Allen would have smashes the Jags. Plays were there. He has an arm and can run. we have no talent and bad coaching on defense. No one is scheming that talent up to be good but they probably could get better play out of them than Evero.

You are right, plenty of blame to go around and the sky isn’t falling. But the blame starts with Bryce. Who has been the worst QB in the NFL over the last 3 seasons. Sky fell a long time ago. People can’t except they were wrong on Bryce for whatever reason. Reality defying logic being used

From the XL pick being blamed on XL, to calling Renfrows balls drops, to calling his horrific PI ball to TMac a bad play by TMac and on and on and on using this logic, you can make Jimmy Clausen great. 89 should of taken those nothing passes to the house!! Just saying, plenty of QBs got mid skill talent around them. Specifically some really good teams. I watched the Bills comeback and beat the Ravens last night and their skill talent is nothing special. They got an overly conservative HC that holds the QB back when he can paired with our former hated OC Joe Brady. And they can beat anyone in the NFL because they got a special QB.

Bryce has been the worst QB in the NFL since drafted. Anyone that could challenge that disappears from a lineup after a year
