Fields seems to have good locker room support and likability from the Bears. It's not like a Caleb Williams personality Tomlin would be dealing with. *Fields would be a dream compared to some of the folks Tomlin has had to manage.

too big of a rah rah personality to put behind someone that plays call of duty all day.

Division Talk: Falcons are heavy favorites to land Justin Fields

Why rule out Pitt? I think they could make it work if Tomlin wanted to. Slash 2.0 -

I got no beef with Hubbard. But he isn’t a receiving RB. We don’t have that rostered. There is still a difference. I just think it matters given you are trying to survive and do something with Bryce Young which I think they sort of acknowledged late with that Cohen move that didn’t pan out. Sanders messes up the backfield. Hated that move from day 1. -
It will match some of our other position groups too then. As of right now we got a bottom everything group on O. Basically just pick a position group

I don't see how any team is going to want Wilson as a backup QB. I think it is starter or sit for an injury. Some QBs just don't work as backups.

Wilson is quirky and old. I would imagine him finding a home might be tougher than he thinks.

yep, if anything, you could argue Schefter put her in a tiny bit of an awkward spot. but this is professional football. If anyone's feelings are hurt over preferences at draft time that didn't happen....they don't need to be in that world.

probably because it's his wife....and given he owns the team he doesn't tell her to go wait in the hotel room. and given what we have seen from Tepper, she probably makes him look better in group scenarios and dealing with people. The setting of the pictures is casual meet and greet BSing. It's not extraordinarily odd for him to have his wife there. but that's just applying some common sense guess work.

I think it was a quip Adam Schefter made on some nothing podcast.....because people like kicking Tepper on the subject given the glaring egg on our franchise's face. Think that's the beginning, middle and end. I doubt Schefter knows a random message board has been fixated on Nicole Tepper. Because this is the only place that cares.

one thing nice about the 2343294 former athlete podcasts that are all over the place. They talk about stuff. The would you have rather have a ring or get paid X. Almost all these dudes are taking the cash. I mean, unless you are legitimately chasing all time positioning in books of NFL history.....most are just taking the biggest check.

Bryce used his RB a lot in the pass game at Bama. Our new HC did it a lot at Tampa. Not having a natural rec RB was a hole going into last season, and remains one. And I am 100% against FA RBs. Draft is the best place to build a good committee IMO. Especially rounds 4-5. I'm just pounding the same drum I pounded last offseason. Just louder now I guess. Bryce needs quick targets in the pass game. -

well, I'm team offense. I think the little we got should be geared toward fixing the biggest issue w/ the Panthers. The cupboard is dry almost across the board on O. -

Legette is intriguing. Really came out of nowhere. More on the raw side but you really got to love what he did out of the SEC this year. And everyone on the field knew that is where the ball had to go for Rattler to make a big play and he just kept making them. I'd don't love him at 33 but I'd love him at a different spot. I'll be honest, I hate our draft position for this year. All we got is that 33 in the top 2 rounds. Not sure I'll love anything given how little we have lol. Maybe I will change my mind about trading down the more I think of it. I just hope we take advantage of the WR talent in this draft and walk away with someone at WR in round 2. -

that's why i think he can fall to 4-5. He was CMC lite in college. He doesn't project that same lite status to me in the NFL. I see him as a pure 3rd down RB in the NFL. Which is the current big void in our backfield. You be drafting a niche/roleplayer. But I think he could fill it....and most 4-5 rounders have low odds of even sticking to the roster. That's why I like those rounds for your RB committee. even if they don't get him, I want them to draft that type RB. I don't need them to be able to play early downs. You got 2 guys on the roster for those downs. Bryce needs a natural pass catcher. -

dude had 600 yards out of the ACC.... and he wasn't top WR in yards per reception. I'm only knocking him at 33 given who else is going to be likely available. I'd say his main strength was contested catches at FSU. I just think there are more explosive players. I just don't love either of the FSU guys this year. I'd love a late flier on their QB though. -

homerism aside, I like Shipley in rounds 4-5. Think he would mesh well with our current backfield setup. Natural rec out of the backfield. I hope we never sign a FA RB again. -

yeah, same people claiming I over value the 40 in this Coleman talk overlook at got Mitchell over Worthy too. and if you look at Coleman's draft evaluations. What are his weakness. They all come back to some variation of route running, separation, etc. at this next level. Often in the praise section about him being able to body guys. No one until recently was begging for what Coleman represents given the state of the Panthers. We all have talked about how flawed the KB logic was for Cam. IMO, this is more of the same. We need speed. And we might need quickness even more than that. -

yeah, Mingo seems to fall into the developmental window. I don't think we should be inking him into occupying any role on this O. He needs a lot of work before he become dependable. You definitely don't want to not draft someone because of him. -

I mean this class is freaking loaded. 40 times ain’t everything. A 4.6 in THIS class is still a 4.6 if we are talking the 33rd pick. not to mention we have seen tons of these tweeter almost TE types at WR. Here and elsewhere. I’ve done nothing but talk about adding speed and quickness for months upon months at the position. Who we are matters. We got none. but go ahead Gettlemen… -

And Cam ended up going to the Super Bowl with what….the additions of speed. Ginn and Philly. As irrelevant as people thought Philly was, Cam spoke about even a meh speed guy going down in the Super Bowl was brutal. TE play was provided by the TE. -

And I absolutely hate the idea of getting some big TE ish WR specifically because of Bryce Young issues. A QB that will have to defy all sorts of odds to be the guy. we added a TE in FA last year….and he had his worst year in his last half decade in the league. I want a quick/fast WR and a rec RB in this draft class. Both should be easy to get if we want them.
