  1. I was fine letting Baker compete in Spartanburg. He did that. Rhule carried it pointlessly long. That's Matt Rhule. and when you carry a competition too long, one that clearly isn't actually a competition at some point.....everyone sees that too. The options weren't give him the job the day he signed the contract or run it all the way until the 4th preseason game.
  2. it's little things. Like BC last year, Rhule painfully put him on the field when forced and argued against things with silly nonsense. BC comes back this offseason with Rhule not really seeing him and suddenly Rhule now says he is one of our best guys that has to be on the field. There was no real time for that narrative to change so quick. It was obvious BC should of gotten more work last year and be even further along today than he is if he had. And he looks like a promosing OL asset. Matt Rhule makes everything hard. Giving Baker the job was easy. He made it hard.
  3. are you sweaty, sloppy and potentially a former short order cook? Because if you were....we might could talk about giving you another shot at bagging those groceries, friend.
  4. Embarrassing Saints had 208 yards and 17 points in the 4th quarter. They averaged 12.2 yards per play. Every team could cherry pick out there stats. You wouldn't have been 3rd best in a world where everyone also cherry picks stats.
  5. Pete Carroll is a rah rah coach. Dabo is a rah rah coach. We were sold that is what Matt Rhule is. But Matt Rhule isn't even a rah rah coach. I still don't know what he is.
  6. He has played a ton of slot over the course of his career with Baker. He can play them all.
  7. Shi Smith got 41 snaps so yeah, you would think in Bakers first start with guys he doesn’t have a lot of experience/chemistry with…a week 1 game plan would have intentionally worked Higgins in for a snap or two. Give him the one guy on the roster he actually knows some. And Baker clearly wasn’t comfortable out there. Pick a random team. Giants barely played more snaps than us last week. They weren’t working out of 2 personnel looks and only running the same 3 WRs all game. They had twice as many WRs on the field.
  8. Yeah, but Baker knows him and they have chemistry. Seems like you would work him in a little in Bakers debut. Baker didn’t seem comfortable early and doesn’t have much work with anyone.
  9. Higgins and TMJ neither got a snap. which IMO does speak to some mismanagement going on. Still don’t see how you don’t give Higgins a single rep in Baker’s first game.
  10. Rookie seasons Jarrett averaged 10.4 yards per game TMJ averaged 10.6 yards per game
  11. Can you call anyone a bust whose 1 season in the NFL featured Sam Darnold being your QB? I frankly have a hard time holding the 2021 season against anyone that would be dependent on Sam? Let alone a rookie WR. It was a bad spot to be in. But Baker is a legit gunslinger and they give WRs the opportunity to shine so….we should know pretty soon. Shi jumping him says a lot IMO
  12. I fear TMJ is going to be another Jarrett. I mean, I was comically high on both when we got them.
  13. It’s hard to greatly improve at a lot of spots in a short time. 3 years in the NFL? I think that is enough time to legitimately ramp up at several position groups. Which I don’t think we have really seen happen. I mean some might be better, yes. But I think the current pace is off/slow from what you would want to see.
  14. Losing Dak for several weeks I think should increase McCarthy’s odds. It would be like CMC going down for several weeks increasing Rhule’s odds. I’m not getting Vrabel being where he is. 4 straight winning seasons. 3 straight playoff appearances.
  15. Just depends. Obviously I’d rather have young depth because of what it could evolve into. But overall on a Sunday to play a game? I can’t say that what we have at RB, WR, and TE today is legitimately better vs then. I don’t think those outside Carolina would view it as better today.
  16. Yeah, I edited that post after further reflecting and didn’t include QB. But I wouldn’t say we are noticeably better at RB, WR or TE yet. I mean we could be. But that that’s just potential that hasn’t shown to be better at those spots.
  17. Just looking at the first 3 of the first 4 groups…. are we actually better at the RB, WR and TE position groups? Whatever I would rate us on a scale of 1-10 would be about the same there in 2020 vs 2022. I think to rate us better is emphasizing potential and knowing hindsight to an extent.
  18. I mean, we don’t need anymore proof Rhule isn’t a NFL HC…. but seriously, I don’t get how he was viewed as a good college HC. Let’s put the fact he beat nobody to the side. Given his nature of excuse making, inability to talk….how did anyone buy what this was selling. I don’t think Tepper was joking. He hired Rhule because he was sloppy, sweaty and short order cook like him.
  19. nothing like cherry picking lol Panthers wouldn’t be 3rd if all the other teams cherry picked their best window

USC. Not the Gamecocks. I don’t want to ever draft a QB/WR from USC.
  21. I mean they were bad. But the NFL doesn’t seem to care. I have never seen evidence they punish the refs for being horrific. i think if we were a better and more important team they probably would be forced to publicly address the spike. I mean they consulted, voiced it was a penalty and then picked it up lol. 1% of me has always believed/argued the NFL is rigged to an extent. Games like that are why. Our Super Bowl to Denver too. I mean not every game but I think the NFL puts their thumb on the scales. Which isn’t a wild take IMO. You see shady poo in all avenues of life.
  22. Tepper just doesn’t know what he is doing. It’s getting well established. he rushed into the RH deal just like he rushed into Rhule.
  23. Well that doesn’t sound like Tepper was innocent in the shitshow. Sounds like he was part of it. yet I’m sure the Tepper/Rhule fans boys will make poor David Tepper out to be the victim
  24. Maybe. But it was talked about in preseason.
  25. That’s gets a little weird sometimes. I mean if the 3rd read on a play gets open quick…..a QB isn’t really always to blame for not seeing and hitting it. Because that’s not the design of the play. but no doubt there were plays to be made. Think it was just a bad game plan. We had guys that clearly could get open. Wonder if they just deemed Robbie’s DB as the dude to look to throw on? Baker seems to favor DJ since he has been here. good share though
