Yeah we went from a college OC to a meh NFL level OC. The good ones declined our interviews. We were left with McAdoo. His strength is supposedly QBs, no one says his offenses were impressive. When Coughlin was in charge he produced his best but that is Coughlin and not Rhule. He wasn't the OC of their SB run and his 2 OC years where the Manning / Beckham show and they still finished 3rd in their division. Meh.
-
Cool but he isn't a QB coach but an OC here. Add in the Rhule factors and I still don't see the reason for any hype.

Maybe, maybe not

It's pretty meh. An improvement from last year sure but I wouldn't use the words quality, good or exciting to describe this staff.
-
I would agree but I would suspect he would just be wasting his first year of that rookie deal and still need to sit a year with a good staff which would be 2/5ths of his rookie contract. So we may have a QB in 3 years? Just draft a better prospect, for us, next year would be a better play conceptually.

My real issues with Willis: Our 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks started no more than 3 games last season with incredibly weak competition and Willis needs a year at least to not start. It is just a bad fit for this crew and their mess. That dude has a solid shot of becoming a quality QB if he goes to a stable team with a strong coaching staff. None of that is us.

All to just lose anyways....These people are mostly crap

Media will be allowed in the locker rooms again

So you have to be in a changing room / bathroom to do an interview right after a game? Totally normal. I get the SB celebration pics and even the coach breakdowns with game balls but would 15 more minuets really be a bad thing to stick a mic in a players face? People are so weird. -
Most teams lose because they don't know why they lost.

1.5 if that plays out

Nice, one QB without a brain and the other without an arm. Unless they both go into surgery together they are playing for 2nd in the NFC South this year.
-
I would have picked Sam but not an option. It's the QB this staff deserves. I am not sold on this class of QBs, especially when you match them to our staff and situation. I also don't want to spend on Vets again after the last 2 years. I think Meh is restrained at this point in the 'process'.

Rhule says giving CMC fewer reps at RB diminishes his value

https://www.nfl.com/news/panthers-rb-christian-mccaffrey-out-for-season Nope, couldn't have played. It was considered a significant injury. Maybe in 2020 but he had already been injured twice by that point. Rhule is garbage and CMC is injury prone. -
Rhule: Sam Darnold will take a huge step this year

He already did when he built the team around the D and the O around CMC. -

Take one of the 3 top LTs and stop fugging around.

Now do it with an NFL ball...

If you are going to start as an upfront and vocal figure in your sports team when you buy it and then hide when things go very badly then maybe it's time to buy some PR help to navigate being a public figure. How to speak NFL if you will. Then again if he hired well he wouldn't have to hide...

Sounds like the 49ers trying to drum up trade interest from a team before he hits to open market... That guy isn't enough to make any real difference here but I just don't care as long as we don't trade draft capital for him or do a long term contract. Whatever, they wouldn't have drafted Lance after a very large trade if Jimmy was good enough.
