  1. Decent ownership, a much better front office, competent GMing, capable coaching, coherent roster building, accurate player evaluations and the ability to adapt at all of those levels. A good QB, a decent TE, a WR room minus 1 slot grandfather, a dominant oline, a completely new CB room and a D built around Brown who is the best player on the roster. A good stadium experience and not an overpriced shell of a game day. A reason to show up and care on game day. A practice/team facilities near the stadium. Real grass and not more garbage music. Winning. I'm sure there is more but that's all I can recall in the downward spiral that is Panther fandom.
  2. When in Panther history did the team string together enough competency over a course of a few seasons to not heavily question their moves and failures? I don't want to be the GM. I just want a good one finally to do a good job. I would be more than happy to watch a great one cook even if I didn't love individual moves. If winning cures all this team is at plague level now.
  3. The only positive I am hearing is that the team actually knows what the perception is of their state currently. Having to ask if they can ask for an interview is embarrassing. Now something so much worse is out there. It is such a poorly run organization. More like new mistakes and unfortunately not learning much yet good still.
  4. Stop treating it like a toy and let experts that are not hired by me to run it while I enjoy the games from owners box and only ask for the big stuff (big trades, huge contracts, ect.) needing notice given. And throw a free beer party after a SB win as a thank you for putting up with so much BS as Panthers fans over the years.
  5. Just look to Rhule's #2 D and then the next year's numbers with Wilks running the ball for half a year after that. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't top 10, neither were unless you only use yards allowed for both. And Wilks D fell apart as his time went on because other teams had to do more to win vs mailing it in against Rhule who only wanted to run CMC into the ground. Considering the 3-4 swith that is fine with me. Those do take time. But there is very recent precedence to help unlock the mystery of how good that unit really is. Solid and likely average at best in the overall rankings.
  6. He is under contract right? So even if he interviewed him they would have to ask for his release or trade for him? I still don't get it. If I'm the Panthers I am looking for picks anywhere.
  7. 4 OGs lol. I hope teams have seen this and stay away from Fritters. He is complete trash. With Carroll out I wonder if those doors are already shut to him now too.
  8. Picking a QB in the top 10 and not being able to be more than a journeyman is a bust. A 7th round pick, last in the draft, that plays as well as that top 10 pick isn't a bust. Ohh and Baker was a #1 pick. IDK what you are talking about and I never mentioned anything about HOF. I said startable, they couldn't even beat out the other guys. You are all over the place and just making up stuff. If you feel that way fine but you are spouting off like any of that is facts. I don't know what else to say but your takes are laughable once you went to Purdy as a bust while trying to prop up Baker as more then he is...Ohh and for a bonus Wilks established here last year how to handle QBs like Darnold and Baker so TB is just following that blueprint. Run the ball and ask the QB to do as little as possible which limits the damage they can do.
  9. Dude has lost all perspective and came up with some real unique takes to justify his feelings.
  10. That sounds awful all the way around but OK. It's not like they couldn't do both at the same time and put both in a room before making it official. If it is Evero I have a hard time not seeing him as one and done also. Plus he didn't take the interim job. IDK, it's already getting weird.
  11. I have no idea why Tepper wants to put the cart before the horse again. Maybe all he wants from the GM anyways is to just say yes? Maybe it works out but I get the feeling something is wrong with his approach. We could already have a GM if he just fired Fritters when he fired Frank. Not thrilled with the idea of another HC with too much power again.
  12. I like him a lot but I like his OC more than I ever liked him for a HC. I'm just not high on DCs to HCs in the current NFL. There are so many DCs out there to be had and Evero is a prime example of that.
  13. They had 2 offseasons to work with Lance. He didn't play more because he wasn't worth playing regardless of investment. Doesn't matter what you count, they have practices and off season workouts we all don't get to see. Your standards are completely arbitrary and hold no accepted value, in the fan community or coaching as far as I have ever heard. They say most should get 13 games but if they are not even startable then it's not going to take 13 games is it? Some guys are just long shot projects and with Purdy they found a better one and no one has time for 2 projects at QB, Prudy isn't even a project anymore while Lance sure is. I know he has played poorly and I was very interested in his potential as a vocal admirer as a prospect, though I didn't like that trade for a project. The fact the 49ers already traded him speaks for itself which you choose to ignore, they are a well run contender and already replaced him while he was on the roster in that 'short time'. It was a win-win anyways, he gets a shot without that trade over his head and the 49ers get a mistake to go away and are in the playoffs without him or those picks used. He is absolutely a bust for what they paid and like I said he has a solid chance to prove he isn't a complete bust not sitting behind Darnold as #3 in SF. As far as Baker is 100% a known quantity in the NFL, there is zero mystery to what he brings to the table. Willis has looked awful, that is really not debatable, it's fact. He absolutely might not make it far with the new regime but I am assuming they at least bring him to camp. His issues were also documented in that draft
  14. Solid track record I guess, no idea about the other sports but they did the Eagles right. I could see him holding on to the marketing terms way too hard while missing the point of it all...
  15. Given the situation I hope they asked him first. Meh not excited for a defensive HC hire regardless and it would be really crappy to keep him as a DC while hiring someone else again at HC.
  16. Any year Tepper owned the team. 2010 had Cam coming in and it still looks like another 2023 incoming in 2024. 2023 is so bad for so many reasons.
  17. It only takes 1 team to make the trade happen. At this point an early 2nd looks better than him walking, though at this point I am ok with that too. Can't fix what the moron who was just fired broke. Never thought I would see worse than Gettleman or Hurney and wow was I wrong.
  18. I despise the Cowboys but he seems talented. That roster management has some issues but he looks like he had an eye for tallent. Not thrilled about the potential to having heavy connections to the Boys longterm. It's like with Miami. Lots of tallent but their teams are soft when not beating up on mediocre or bad teams. It's coaching and roster management IMO.
  19. Depends on the new GM. An ugly and possibly useless tag fight is not productive in improving the team. If the new GM can convince him to take the tag and find a partner then yes. If Burn's camp thinks it is worth a fight then it so much easier to say thank you and good luck while not looking like more of a trainwreck. I have no idea why he would want to stay now unless they throw an epic contract at him. He would have already had a contract with the Rams and he has not forgotten that.
  20. He spent 6 years playing AAA baseball. Heisman at 28. He couldn't play under center well and he was most comfortable in shotgun if I remember correctly. The mental part of the NFL game was his biggest weakness...again if I remember correctly. He is coaching at GT as a QB coach and was working as a QB trainer for some company years ago.
  21. He absolutely could Teddy him this offseason and I have mixed feelings, at least get some value or it will look terrible to not give him at least a toke additional season to try and improve. Tepper has seen he isn't good enough. The only question is does he understand that and will he allow a good plan to make that mistake go away? No idea but that possibility does exist with his history.
  22. Baker is in the playoff because the NFCS stink not because he is good, just good enough. Good for him but no he isn't a good QB. Lance appeared in 19 games in three years (edit: lol 8 games in 2 seasons, I used his school games le sigh Link I used), they knew what they had. He didn't play more because of injury and poor play. Lance is a bust for them but he has the next few seasons to try and prove he isn't a complete bust. In that situation with Purdy looking better there wasn't any reasons to keep him around and a lot of reasons to not do so. Willis has looked awful, no where close to NFL level playable but he is on a rookie deal but also has to face a new HC (still has not thrown a TD in 11 games of play). Cam is awesome but his shoulder is done so unless someone is using him as a powerback he doesn't have an NFL future barring some kind of medical miracle. Purdy is a great fit in that system but yeah Cam was right and a lot of people still do not like that.
  23. Keep Brown and see a new deal. See what a new deal with Moton looks like if not solid then trade away, no reason to get back into Burns territory with that needing to be addressed. Trade for what they can: Jackson and Horn need to be gone neither can be relied upon at this point. Theilen is wasted here and should play out his career somewhere with hope. See if Woods has trade value. See if Sanders has trade value. Cut Tuttle, Hurst and Thomas. Just get it over with, June 1st whoever makes the most sense. Add in Corbett. Not sure about Bozeman. Feel like if he isn't a fit here he could still net a pick maybe. Do not sign Burns longterm. Tag and trade or let walk if it looks ugly.
  24. He was saying that they have to play Young, I said competition is best. Saying you must play Young when he can't win the job is saying play Young over trying to win. It's a 2 win team so ofcouse all of it is uphill from here. If you would have asked anyone if Reich would be fired midseason year 1 no one would have said yes. If you are saying play Young in all 24 regardless then you are asking, baring a miracle I guess, them to lose. That is tanking and a terrible way for a new crew to start. He will play and get a shot but if it's still 'all in on Bryce' and not 'give Bryce a chance' there is a solid chance it ends the same way. The Bucs went to the playoffs with Baker. It really doesn't take much more to win more, at least in the NFCS. People are already afraid of missing that #1 pick in 25 and if that was the top priority they should just keep Tabor as the HC for another year and hire a GM to hire the new HC in 25. I am on a board for Panthers fans, disappointment all we get now. It's easier to just say the people hiring everyone are really bad at it so why expect anything to change now?
