28 year old who never put it all together. Decent depth.

He was a rotational left tackle for GB last year after David Bakhtiari went down. ………. “Although there is value in having experienced depth, Nijman had two opportunities last season to earn the starting snaps outright and failed to do so. It somewhat feels like the writing is on the wall when it comes to his time in Green Bay. With 13 pressures allowed in only 157 pass-blocking snaps, Nijman ranked 88th out of 135 eligible tackles in PFF’s pass-blocking efficiency metric. He ranked 75th in run-blocking grade. In short, Nijman was far more inconsistent than what the team was hoping for in their fourth-year tackle. The Packers have also been building their tackle depth with Caleb Jones essentially red-shirting for two seasons, along with having Luke Tenuta, who was on the 53-man roster in 2022 and injured in 2023. Both are on a similar developmental path as what Nijman was on when he first joined the team in 2019 as an undrafted rookie. This also happens to be a very deep offensive tackle draft class. In Daniel Jeremiah’s initial top 50 draft prospect rankings, eight offensive tackles were listed in the top 31 players.”

Is Drafting a WR in the 2ND Really A Good Idea?
Tbe replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
I doubt they put a rookie center in front of Bryce. -
You mean like last year
-
Ok…that’s good.

Who knows…. No, this board is just a bunch of old grumpy guys and I’m in an anti grumpy man mood.
-
We’re the only team that interviewed him. He stuck around Pete Carrol for 7 years with only one small promotion I think. He might be good, but it seems like he was Dan’s guy and no one else would take the job. He got a SIX year contract too. WHY? Well…same reason we have to overpay FAs. Im not impressed and not being excited for this guy is frankly more reasonable than being excited.

Head scratcher.

Did you watch the full interview or just that one little clip on twitter? Speaking of the clip…Canales did have the 20th ranked offense. Worst run game I believe.
-
Im watching the entire interview. He’s not casual. Been going to games since the team started. I bet he’s on this board. He’s speaking truth though. Told a ‘missed opportunities’ joke that went over everyone’s head..lol.

What will Dionte Johnson’s attitude be on the Panthers?

Sounds like the Steelers used us to send a message to their players. Screw around and you’ll be traded to the worst team in the league. -
That doesn’t work for me.

Don’t know what to tell you: https://x.com/mikegarafolo/status/1767883713298260080?s=46&t=PAlPPrb2M4qWK4VOOYlH4A Waited 45 seconds. I can make it work by pulling up the tweet in chrome and clicking embed.

Not on mobile. Not when pulling from the X app.

It’s less. The probabilities are independent. I asked chat gpt. It’s a 55% chance of landing at least one solid long term starter from those two picks. If you use this data.

27 years old. Spent time on IR last year. Money.

Good deal for Donte.

Some browns fan crunched the numbers on 20 years of draft data. NFL wide…not browns specific. https://247sports.com/nfl/cleveland-browns/Board/105323/Contents/odds-of-becoming-a-quality-player-in-the-nfl-by-draft-round-211678773/#:~:text=1st round - about 50% of,3rd round - about 16%. I’ve seen it broken down by position too. Some positions have higher success rates than others. This is the only source I can find right now. https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2015/2/20/8072877/what-the-statistics-tell-us-about-the-draft-by-round

2-3 years depends on if we get these picks right. If not, move that to 5-7 years.
-
If someone has a hard time making the putts, you don’t move them further from the hole. More swings is not going to help. Now, if they prove to be good evaluators, sure. But we have the same scouting dept from the past 3 drafts.

1st round - about 50% of players drafted in the 1st round developed into solid NFL starters. 2nd round - about 33% of players drafted in the 2nd round developed into solid NFL starter. From here, it dropped by 50% per round. 3rd round - about 16%. 4th round - about 8%. 5th round - about 4-5%. 6th round - about 2%. 7th round - about 1-2%.
