Watson dragged that org through the mud for months before dunking it in a tank of poo with his legal issues. Why would they still want him? The only ‘winning’ options left is to move on ASAP and put this crap behind them.

At some point they’ll have to make a deal or keep him. The bridge has been burned to the ground, so they have to let him go. Teams know this. The Texans arent going to get what they want for him.

Yep, happens all the time. The eagles will end up getting a 2nd round pick because Wentz got hurt and will miss significant playing time. Any deal for Watson will include contingency picks. The more time he misses, the lower the compensation.

We had a ton of holes going into this season. We couldn’t fix them all. OL was the main one left out this year. The rebuild is a multi year effort. If we drafted 3 OL this year you would be screaming about the secondary right now.

I think so too. A Cam Chancellor type. I don’t see him being that guy quite yet.

My big concern with this D is who is running it on the field. Luke was always the guy getting everyone in position etc. Who is that guy now?

Regardless of where guys ‘start’, we need a solid backup plan for when injuries happen since our OL depth is pretty bad. If Moton gets hurt, this line is fugged.

It’s probably the owner pressing the coach. I would say its early, his first practice was yesterday, they don’t know where he is yet, but none of that applies really. He’s the only QB on that team at the moment from what I understand. He’s starting. Man...they really should have traded Teddy for Darnold straight up.

Then that is exactly what they will do.

My plan is to watch at least the first 4. If Sam sucks, I’m not wasting my time. If they win 4 straight, then I’ll keep watching to see how he does once DC’s get enough film on us.

Yep, that is the worst case. Plays well enough to get another year, but isn’t good enough to ever be great. frankly, I think this is a likely outcome. Such is QB purgatory.

‘Fluid’ is how defenses will describe moving through this OL.

He’s full of poo. Just playing the game. I remember when he wasn’t ‘trading the player’. Watson is a PR nightmare. Unless he’s totally cleared, you’ll have protests at your stadium, Every fan at every game will boo him, you can’t use him as the face of your franchise, he might be on the commish list for the year, will other players respect his leadership, and who knows if this ordeal will affect his play. Dude could be a franchise killer just as easily as he could make them better.

The PR stuff is the bigger risk, but this is second. Happens all the time to players. I would not trade the farm for him at this point.
