We have him under contract for the next couple years for super cheap, there's no point in getting rid of him, especially if he can develop into a #2 down the line, or even into trade bait for the end of his contract.

I don't think they plan on dealing him this year. Probably seeing what they have in him this season so they can see what to do with him next year. There was that new rule implemented because of what happened to SF where it's essentially a free roster spot for a QB on gamedays now.

He's a 3rd round pick from the previous regime who hasn't played meaningful football in over 2 years. He got screwed the moment we drafted him unfortunately. I would love to see him turn it all around and become a stud, but the opportunities to do so will be few and far between. The only way I see him getting some PT is if we are eliminated from playoff contention relatively early and BY gets hurt. If we're still in contention they'll throw Dalton out there to keep the ship steady until Bryce heals up, but if we are sucking they could play Corral to see what they have in him. His journey to relevancy is going to be a long and difficult one.

You're not wrong. I miss the daily photo threads we would get at TC too. It was good times. Zod used to have more access to the team, which lead to better content on here. Tepper bought the team and a lot of the access a bunch of third parties were privy to (Zod, Bill Voth, Roaring Riot, etc.) kind of went away when the media was all brought in house. Because of that, Zod has had to focus on other areas of work in order to keep the lights on. The restricted access coupled with the poor performance of the team over the past 5 or so years has really lead to a downgrade in coverage for the team in general. In short, this gif:

There hasn't been much on him. He is getting the PJ Walker equivalent reps this TC, which is more than last year but still not a lot. From the small clips I've seen here and there he still has plenty of zip on all his throws, I think he definitely has the strongest arm on the team.

Follow up tweet from Joe: Water is wet. I know a lot of people are high on Chuba, and he did RUN the ball better last year compared to the year before, but he can not catch a cold. He has stone hands and he is the worst receiving back on the team. When CMC went down, it wasn't just a noticeable dropoff in the RB receiving game because he wasn't being utilized, he was, he just dropped damn near everything thrown his way. I wouldn't be surprised to see Blackshear take 3rd down duties and slowly work into the running rotation as Chuba is fazed out as the year progresses.

I'm not expecting anything from him this year. Hurst was brought in to catch passes, Thomas is the blocker. I will say it was pretty telling what Tremble said about how they are actually being coached and taught things by their TE coach for the first time since he's been there, so everyone in that room might improve compared to last season.

Also, regarding Trey Lance - A stat that blew my mind: Tom Brady threw more passes last season (799) than Trey Lance has thrown in his HS, College, and Pro Career COMBINED (798).

He also was a 2010's All decade selection and only 15 sacks shy of getting 130 for his career (The magic number for HOF level career sacks). He's also one of, if not the, best run stopping defensive ends since he came into the league. He's closer to the HOF than you think.

I understand why. You want your backup to get more reps than the backup to the backup. He's taking the PJ Walker reps from last TC, whereas last year he was taking Jake Luton equivalent reps.

I'm not kidding when I say Bluey is one of my favorite shows. I both laugh and tear up while watching it. It is so damn good. Bandit is who all dads should aspire to be.
