Damn, there are some really ass teams in the NFL this year.

We're seeing growth. Considering what weeks 1 and 2 looked like we've made huge strides. Still need some pieces and time for our young players to develop, but I'm more optimistic than I've been in a long time about this team.

The plan better damn well be to extend him. We finally have a solid OL; we don't need to be letting proven players go when we've finally got some along the OL.

I will never put the Burns situation on Morgan. He got the best deal he could considering we had zero leverage. Fitterer was the one who screwed that situation up by not taking the Rams offer.

That play he made to go up and get the ball downfield is something we haven't seen from a Panthers TE since Greg Olsen. Sanders could be a star with some more development.

I imagine starting Cade Mays has everything to do with him already being under contract next season and Christensen not. If they feel like the performance level is similar, they probably want to see if Mays can play well enough down the stretch to win the starting job going into next season. Plus, yeah, Brady Christensen is an excellent depth player given he can play literally every position on the OL at a solid level. Personally, I'd like to see us extend him regardless just for that alone. He might legitimately be the most versatile OL in the league.

I will never understand how that organization gave him $40M/year after a "breakout" season that saw him throw a grand total of 15 TD passes. I'm not even sure Tepper would sign off on something that stupid.

McDermott would have been fired after 18 games and Tepper would have hired Urban Meyer.

XL will be fine. Even if he does have the drops every now and then I'll take that over someone who catches everything but doesn't know how to get open.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of paying RBs but this isn't a bad deal. I'm not sure how this fits with Brooks coming in. Maybe Dan Morgan is trying to replicate the old 'Double Trouble' days?

I do think the instability at center has affected the guards. Going from Corbett/Christensen to Cade Mays is a pretty significant downgrade. And even if it wasn't there's always an adjustment when a new center is put in.

In all honesty, I'd be happy with either Sanders or Ward at QB anywhere in the top-5. I think they're both legit franchise QB prospects. After that, it's kind of a poo show, though.

I feel like Cam Ward is kind of the anti-Bryce Young. Not highly recruited, has the traditional physical traits/arm strength, but isn't as "NFL ready" on paper. But we've seen how what's on paper doesn't always translate to the field.
