I guess having trap games is a step up for this team.

No. His first 2-3 games were, but his rookie year in general was solid. His second year was pretty bad, but he's been solid overall since.

Why does he remind me of the deaf guy from The Replacements?

Can we discuss how NICE today’s uniform were

I think it was the overcast sky; I've noticed it can have that effect on our colors sometimes. -
The run defense has been clearly better this year outside of week 1. Still some work to be done, but clearly getting Derrick Brown back has had a huge impact.

some good news. Greg will call our game Sunday

What Fox did to him is bullshit. Tom Brady has nothing on him. -
Is this how the grass comes back to BOA?

This. I think this issue will be taken out of the hands of individual owners and become a major issue in the next round of CBA negotiations. -
Did the Panthers get Mike McDaniel fired now?

Easily may have been a bit much, but I think Maye ends up being better than Daniels. Nix will be solid, but not elite long-term, IMO. -

He's almost certainly gone, but I will say McDaniel did seem to get the most out of Tua at QB. I feel like Tua is basically what Bryce's ceiling is with an actual innovative offensive mind calling plays for him. Tua has better size, but they both have similar arm strength limitations. -

Easily. Caleb Williams looks more and more like a Jameis Winston clone every week. -
At this point I think it's pretty clear Bryce Young isn't THE guy. That doesn't mean you can't root for him and praise him when he does well. To quote an old friend, "it is what it is."

They need to hire him as the Panthers radio play-by-play guy.

For who, the team or the Huddle?

Complain when we lose, complain when we win.

Vanderbilt might be really good.

(Potential) Top 2026 HC Candidates
Jay Roosevelt replied to CarolinaLivin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I would add a couple of other names: - Wes Phillips (Vikings OC) - Patrick Graham (Raiders DC) My personal shortlist: - Joe Brady - Wes Phillips - Patrick Graham - Brian Flores - Todd Monken - Klint Kubiak I just wonder if Joe Brady would have any interest in coming here after how things unfolded last time. Especially given that he's almost certainly going to have other options. No retreads unless it's someone like Mike Vrabel/Brian Flores who really should not have been fired to begin with or someone like Sean Payton who retired and is returning. HELL no to Mike McCarthy and HELL NO to any college coach. Honestly, though, if we can't get a sure fire upgrade I'd just assume keep Canales and hope he does better with a (hopefully) better QB. Other than Joe Brady I'm not honestly all that thrilled with the options that are out there. Although I do think Wes Phillips is a very underrated name that could make a lot of sense. I'm surprised he hasn't generated more buzz. I think the Commanders model could be a good one. An experienced defensive-minded HC with a creative OC that has already been a HC and been fired. Mike McDaniel would be a great choice for OC if/when he gets fired from Miami. Pairing him with Brian Flores or Patrick Graham could be a really solid move, IMO. -
No. I don't think any former player can make the jump straight to HC. Linebackers coach? In a fuging heartbeat. DC? I could even go for that, but it's not ideal. But HC? I need someone with a little more coaching experience than that.

Legette “I can’t say I sat back and learned anything”

Surely there's some team out there that will give us a 6th rounder for him. -

Who knows. He can barely speak English. -
I don't know why anyone would want to add the Sanders family media circus to the clusterfug we already have.

It's always on the QB on some level. But I would agree that it's not ALL on Bryce. It damn sure isn't on defense and when you're getting drug up and down the field all game long it kind of forces the offense to throw, which negates our biggest strength on offense. It's a combo of factors. Constantly playing catch-up, lack of a deep threat at WR, Bryce struggling with the deep pass anyway, injuries to the OL, bad play calling, talent/scheme mismatch. It's a huge clusterfug, so why would the results not be the same?

I don't disagree, but to be fair the college game is so dumbed down sometimes it can be hard to even evaluate QBs on tape. You look at Cam's Heisman year at Auburn, there's honestly not a lot that translated to the NFL. But Cam ended up translating very well. He could absolutely do a lot of things that translated to the NFL, but just wasn't asked to in Auburn's college-style option offense. The one quality that I feel translates best to the NFL is when a guy can carry a team that's not stacked with talent. Bryce won a Heisman surrounded by elite talent, many of whom are NFL stars today and still couldn't win a National Championship. Cam was surrounded by a bunch of average (at best) college players that never made it in the NFL, and yet he won both a Heisman and a National Championship. Guys that can take average (or even below average) talent in college and both win games and put up big numbers are the players I think NFL teams need to look at. That's not to say that there haven't been great QBs who were surrounded by great talent in college too (Joe Burrow, for example) but a guy who can overcome a lack of talent around him and still be great is someone who I think has a leg up once they get to the NFL.

I'd trade Legette for a bag of soggy pizza rolls at this point.

Do you see Canales ever giving this type of speech?
Jay Roosevelt replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not the best example since that speech didn't do much good.
