It is, I lived down there for 5 years out of college. Will never go back. Just hated the area. People were mostly good, but crime, pollution, hurricanes and floods, power going off all the time, roads with potholes everywhere, and terrible congestion.

I won't lose any sleep over it but I have to wonder how anyone goes to new orleans and thinks "I wanna live here". The arsehole of America is southeast Louisiana.

Brycs's dad picks between Keon, Ladd, AD & X
Panthero replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
To be fair those guys don't win the way big bodied wrs are supposed to so you can make the argument we don't have an X on the roster, at least not an effective one. -

If we double dip for AD and Ladd this will be me on draft night. -
I guess the logic is every defense has a weakness, having different types of wrs allow you to take advantage of that. But there has been a tide change to just wrs that can accelerate and get open and then YAC. So maybe my model is dated. Pearsall and Wilson certainly fit your model better. But the first two not so much.

https://www.nfl.com/combine/tracker/participants/all-positions/all-colleges/ I always have trouble finding this for some reason but love reading the scouting reports. Thought I'd share for those interested.

Oh I agree we need to go heavy on pass catchers. I'm just being picky. Not meant as a diss, just prefer other guys--but im not some film guru so i may be completely wrong. Think we need an X, keon coleman or maybe a guy a like AD mitchell, not necessarily an X but wins toss ups. I like Roman Wilson for the slot. I also think Ricky Pearsall (sp?) Is gonna be a great pro.

99.9 is quickly becoming my most disliked radio. This same dude is always banging on about how poo everything is. Total clown, hope he sits on his balls.

Jonah Ellis Chop Robinson (most draft boards have him gone) Chris Braswell Adisa Issac Trice/Dorlus (seem like more tradional 4-3 de's). I'm going off of PFFs ranking. These guys may go top ten for all I know I'm really liking Ellis due to his bloodlines. Got like 4 relatives in the NFL. Plus he played at Utah. A team that always looks extremely well coached. Seems like a guy like this is just going to have an advantage in understanding the game early on. I like Issac but I'm skidish on Penn state players in general. Seem to have great athletic numbers but other than that one LB don't seem ready to play. Seems like with wonnum we have a serviceable guy on one side but if we can't get Young or Clowney, seems like we need some immediate help from the draft and Ellis is my pick for most ready day one. Who are you guys leaning toward at the edge/olb position? *doesn't have to be one of the above.

Guys Brown is a military kid, long as he's shown respect I think he stays. He's just a different kind of guy. Even at Auburn he was active in the community and was married with a baby before his senior year I believe. He's a mature dude, mentally.

Is Drafting a WR in the 2ND Really A Good Idea?
Panthero replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
@Rayzor, what else do you think we can/will do realistically in free agency before the draft to shore up the defense? Does that recent edge signing mean we don't have a shot at clowney/young? -

I'd take two pass catchers in the second. Don't be constrained to 2 wr. Imagine getting ad mitchell and jatavion sanders (te) in the second. I'd be ecstatic with those two in the 2nd frame. Then go all defense the rest of the draft. -
Beyond 2 pass catchers, seems like we'll go heavy on defense, so he's probably excited about getting to shape a defense. Nothing better than shopping for the groceries when you are a chef. You're just naturally more confident in the meal you're preparing.

He's the most versatile guy in the draft. Reasonable that he can be a high level guard or center and likely a swing tackle. That's hard to find.
-
dang looks like we're rolling the dice that he's been under utilized.
-
i added him to please the masses here. from what i gather his talent is first round level but hes injury prone.

Thanks for sharing. I was searching around and 22 he wasn't on there, but Wonnum was about the same position in 2021 as the 2023 chart.
