  1. that's fair. Just don't pick a guy only you would sixth overall, you set back the team years reaching for a mid round QB. daboll was too good for his own once he made Jones look decent. I'll say this too, if not for Jackson, Jones maybe the best running QB. Jones has serious QB wheels.
  2. I still remember how happy I was that gettlegut was not the GM once he picked Jones, that was a firing pick and well..... If not for the raiders drafting Clelin Ferrell, it was the biggest draft day mistake in the last 20 some years.
  3. I would take the giants roster over Panthers. Lawrence, 3 OLB/DEs, Thomas, and nabers. Lawrence is better than dbrown and Thomas is better than icky. Panthers don't have one edge that would start over those 3 not matter how people feel about burns. Id believe....I think I would take nabers over the whole WR group....Id need to think about, but I feel it is right or 50/50..... Now after the top 10, Panthers may have claim. Im just not that big of a NFL fan like past time to make a good case. I'd just take giants on their top talent. I will say this, if BY carries this team to the playoffs, he alone would flip this.
  4. I have for too long lacked giving good posting beers, fire, etc. Good post, its beyond prove it time and until then 30s is where they belong.
  5. Renfro has been craving up every panther DB. He does have to remain healthy, just like every other player. XL and Coker seem to be close, just XL was drafted with higher expectations. I mean if XL keeps screwing around while Coker keeps making plays after play, XL will be inactive on game-days. Im glad Panthers finally have enough WR for there to be discussions on GameDay, cuts, and starters. Welcome to the modern NFL, it only took 30 years.....
  6. I got the chances in the single digit, my friend....low singles. The biggest saving grace is the pitiful NFC south. I think the Bucs have won the NFC with 8, 9, and 10 wins for the last three years. That is alllll the proof people need for why this division is the weakest. Helps when you play the Panthers, Siants, and failcons 6 games a year.......
  7. That could be right, he's got hot in the last week and garnered attention. Im remaining with the notion he's #5/6 on the picking order. Those back end WRs must play ST.....now if he keeps making plays and pushing everyone down on his way to #1, he doesn't have to care about ST I need the edit the ST snaps with Coker last year, he played in 31 not 5. 5 was this past pre-season game.
  8. I agree, 5 wins feels like red-line. The amount of luck and fortune needed for 9 wins AND playoffs.... its like borrowing it from the future 20 years... I feel BY would have to be in the MVP race as well.
  9. Glad someone is looking good! Not really wanting to trade him, just trying to fix LB corps with a young dog and looking at the WR depth. Just reminding all the cokeheads- he played 5 total ST snaps last season. 5! GameDay Most teams including the Panthers only activate 4 WRs. That's one less than his ST snaps..... The odds are XL, Tmac, AT, and renfrow will be the 4 *if healthy. Now you could start the XL vs Coker and have a case to bench XL, I still think XL is starting even with him boxing recently. Coker is in a number deal, not his fault, just the Panthers have added enough for a player like Coker not to be activated. I'd even say if the percent for #4-6 is weighed with ST in mind, Jimmy horn maybe ahead of Coker on the scale.
  10. My post wasn't meant to discount Sanders, just to explain why he played well in my eyes. I know others are trying to pick him apart and its just ONE pre=season game and all. But imo, he played about as well as any 5th rounder could given everything going. I mean...... even his pre-game walk-in was a "show" and he came to play. I was thinking "this is why you dropped to the 5th"....... Then I watched the game and just like in the draft mega thread- "I wanted to draft him in the 4th or 1000000% in the 5th". let me check the quote wizard......
  11. LG some of your best posting Id ever seen. Ill just add, sanders since middle school has had the best coaching Neon Deon could buy. He called in all his favors and got the best offered. He made NFL throws. Yes against 3rd string and don't know his weakness or game plan.
  12. NFL feels waay different this year.
  13. Yes paying a few guys millions not to coach your team is chair pennies for tepper. Still they stop taking your emails, calls, and texts, or most did this past season. I'd hate hate hate HATE to be in court against Teppers piggy bank. Apple maybe one of few not scared with their lawyers. https://www.wcnc.com/article/sports/nfl/panthers/matt-rhule-arbitration-lawsuit-carolina-panthers-david-tepper/275-67428987-74c1-4bc6-84ef-86cab811d6ca
  14. Panthers, I mean Tepper covers the contract tho. Chris Tabor sat out last year and tepper paid him full. Plus best I understand, in simple terms if RHule signed a 7year(Jay-Z meme) 10 million per deal and is fired. Then Nebraska signed Rhule to a 4 year 7 million per deal, Teppers has to kick in 3 million per year over that span. *But lawyers got involved * I thought Frank Reich was consulting and if that's so, ACC/team can pay him any salary(1.00 - 500,000)and again Tepper covers the remainder. Depends on the written language of contract. I do think at one point Tepper was paying Rhule, Wilkis, Tabor, and Frank at the same time. Best I know when a asst coach takes over, they get a new contract cause they are the HC now, more duties and its messy at that point. I have heard super petty contracts where the former team has to send the former HC one dollar to cover the cost. Tepper was in fact blacked ball by many HCs and coaches, no one wants to move their whole family and be fired within a few months(other teams pay too). Especially after all the "love" and pictures and press about how new HC is going to solve all the Panthers problems. Brian Callahan was the top/only target, but titans gave him a HC contract while Tepper fumbled. Coaches talk and Tepper also fired many assistants, they are just like old women at the hair salon when it comes to talking/gossip.
  15. Tepper is on the hot seat about firing coaches. Dave signed a six year deal and I believe so did Dan. I think he's paying around 4 HCs right now, if rhule didn't get the lawyer memo. It's at that point, where average-good-great HC were avoiding the Panthers. Dave was passed over in Seattle and had to take a OC job in TB. One year later, Brian Callahan was rumored to be the main target for Carolina, he took the titans job instead......(that's hella bad). To save face, Dan hired Dave within days to cover the blunder. You can always get someone to take a million+ HC job, but are they worth it??
  16. Not to say Richard Sherman is the same either, but similar numbers. Some-time players just figure it faster than others. Norman took 2 or 1.5 years, he was in and out of the doghouse for many weeks. Then he figured out how to "use" his hands without getting flagged much like Sherman did. Thor was the best part of that game, nearly the only good part....
  17. Its pres-season and all, just that was most of the panthers 1st teamers vs browns 2nd/3rd/rookies. Browns look better even with 2s and 3s. That was a 3 win team and they just looked better prepared, faster, and stronger. I know there's no game-planning. I also know there's Dave&evero didn't call plays. Brother its just been too long with the losing, that's the problem. Pres-season memes or not.
  18. FYI- Best I know he is not calling plays. Not to toss off his hate, at best Im giving 4-6 before I start the "fire" stuff. Whatever happens Dbrown needs some DMVP votes cause he is playing DE, DT, and LB.
