  1. That’s why you replace Fitt. New GM won’t care what Fitt turned down.
  2. No you were spot on. I think your strategy still applies. Get some talent on offense and if Young still struggles our new HC can draft his guy and actually have something for him to work with. Throwing a QB with an injury history like Penix in this mess will land him on IR in my opinion.
  3. That’s what confuses me. I’ve seen him throw bullets like that highlight of him sliding off that defender and throwing a dart to AT. I don’t know if he is trying to put too much touch or isn’t setting his feet, but his arm talent shouldn’t be a weakness. It was never advertised as elite, but should be capable…
  4. Every coach would “prefer” a tall QB. Scouts were saying if Young was 6’2” he would be in Luck/Lawrence territory as a prospect. I like how Chris Simms put it. He said height is a skill. You prefer your guy to have it, but if they are better at other things it can offset it to a degree.
  5. We need to do what you were hoping we would do last year. Add weapons and talent to this offense. Just roll with Young again in 24 and he either develops with better weapons or leaders us to Sanders/Ewers/Allar or whoever in 2025. Looks like Daniels is returning for Kansas as well.
  6. Reich’s only QB he drafted was Sam Ehlinger at 6’1”. He inherited a bunch of good QBs that were tall but it’s not like he developed Manning, Rivers, or Ryan. He thought he could “fix” Wentz but failed. I don’t know where is QB guru label cam from.
  7. Strong flex there Reich. Tell it to Tepper during your weekly verbal ass chewing.
  8. Yeah some teams didn’t have him on it while others had him at 1. Like I stated most analysts/former GMs had him at 1.
  9. Yeah he is no longer going through reads. Maybe it was the constant pressure, but I watched him stare down guys more this game than others. The only one he trusts is AT and that’s an issue as well.
  10. Tepper, Fitts, Reich, Brown have all claimed they have. It’s not like he was some crazy reach at 1. Lots of analysts had him at one. We have to blow it up, get one more look at him next year with some actual help then decide if we move on or not in 2025.
  11. How can we evaluate Young or any QB in this offense, but especially a rookie with this kind of constant pressure?
  12. It looked on target to me. Dude just made a play. The zip/velocity gets mentioned on here a lot but I honestly don’t see it anywhere else. Was it a bullet? No but it looked fine. The read was the bigger issue to me. Reich leaving him back there with 5 wide knowing Zavala and Boze can’t block poo is another big issue.
  13. This one was just a hell of a play by that CB. He has 4 this year. The problem was Young missed Tremble with no one covering him. You have to take advantage of blown coverage like that.
  14. Greg Olsen understands what most on here don’t
  15. Some of the biggest trolls are the ones who start crying for mods. It’s mind boggling sometimes…
  16. Titans OL is a mess right now too. I live in TN and many of their fans were upset about how bad their OL is.
  17. He will bounce back with some weapons and better OL play. If he is as mentally tough as claimed he will be ok. We need Fitt gone so a competent GM can give him what he needs and Reich gone so a HC can actually scheme to our strengths.
  18. He is in for a tough wake up call in the NFL.
  19. Our 2 guards BC and Corbett haven’t and won’t play together this year.
  20. I don’t agree with this. If Frank’s offense and Fitt’s roster share part of the blame for Young’s struggles we should at least see how he looks under another coach. Even promote from within since this staff was all in on Young. Give whomever it is the rest of this season and the next. People like to say coaches won’t come here, but the Colts got a solid one after their owner totaled meddled with the depth chart, fired Reich midseason, and has a list of irrational behavior. These assistant coaches typically jump on chances when they are offered. Remember when Dorsey was getting some looks last year? Well now he is a midseason fired OC. A lot can change fast and a lot of them will jump on an opportunity if given the chance.
  21. I already said the accuracy part needs to look at distance because Young should lead it with his low YPA. The lack of separation is pretty obvious to most of us that are watching it, but that’s the most telling part of the chart. People that love Bryce will point to it, people that don’t will critique it just like any chart/data.
  22. Fans looking at data they don’t agree with Fans looking at data they agree with
  23. Having the potential top QB in the 25 draft will help. WRs and weapons will have NFL scouts at many games. I think young men are still going to love a chance to play for Prime. Easy bowl eligible team plus possible more next year IMO. The PAC 12 also won’t be as hard as it is this year.
