  1. Yeah defenses are easier to turn around than offenses (especially when you are looking for a QB). Take a look at the Broncos. Allowed 70 last year to the Dolphins, this year they put together a solid makeshift defense while eating the Russ contract and drafting Nix in the first. There also isn’t done premium defensive player that should go at pick 1 as of right now.
  2. I feel like if you draft Hunter at 1, you almost have to use him mainly as a WR. You just don’t take CBs that high.
  3. There is a good chance this will be Moton’s last year. Makes a lot of sense to use it giving a rookie QB an established solid OL to start his career.
  4. https://x.com/QBspotlight/status/1830248773110665396 He played very well when Florida blitzed him. This was a similar conversation scouts had about Stroud though (how he handled pressure). Schemes and coaching can help players get better under pressure. I’d love a QB who plays great when there isn’t pressure to begin with.
  5. So this trade was brought to Tepper and he didn’t overrule it AKA make a decision is what you are saying? You want Tepper to overrule the GM he hired and are mad he didn’t, but also think he is meddling too much… I’m confused?
  6. I’m holding you to it! Looks like you are right though so we’re good…
  7. Honestly AR looking better his first start than he did his last. Not sure if his regression is film being out or the injuries taking their toll…
  8. Texans and Commanders made it work. You need a good OL (which we have) and some weapons. We need to keep developing XL, Coker, JT, and Brooks to have some weapons. I wouldn’t mind reuniting DC with Godwin if the price is right ( yeah I know he is coming off an injury) It’s Moton’s last year so use it to help get a young QB comfortable. All of this is assuming there is one we like a lot.
  9. Steve Smith also said to draft Bryce and Mingo
  10. I thought Goff was his floor. It was before Goff took his game up a notch though…
  11. NM my first response. I was misinformed… That sucks…
  12. They might not be pay much but we gained $4 million.
  13. I'm not sure they could have gotten more...
  14. Yep. Stroud was the safest pick and still had one hell of a ceiling.
  15. Yeah he was becoming an issue on the field too giving up on routes while throwing teammates under the bus. You can't have that while trying to change the culture. The fact remains we were always getting much less than what Hopkins went for. So we save $4 million dollars in rollover cap and move up some spots later in the draft. No big deal he had to go and this was the best offer.
  16. Pretty sure it’s mostly his signing bonus. Looks like we saved $4 million trading him off.
  17. Chuba could have made a little sense. Anyone on an expiring contract we aren't resigning/extending...
  18. Horn's dad played for SP. He knows he is a shitty human.
  19. Canales is trying to build a NFL offense and forces Bryce to play in one when he is out there. He isn't afraid to line him up under center, have pre snap movement, play action, roll outs etc... He also benched Bryce based on performance. When asked about Bryce he is nice sure, but early on mentioned him just doing his job as 1 out of the 11 people on the field. This is the sign of a coach wanting to do his job well despite the issues going on. Reich did none of this. Again his favorite play was a WR screen to the 34 year old slow AT.... Where is Reich at now?
  20. So the Colts fans were complaining about his predictable play calling as well. It followed him to Carolina. The Colts also immediately looked better when they replaced him the following year. His staff (some of which HE picked) were going behind his back because they no longer believed in him and his players gave up on him. Reich was 100% part of the problem. He constantly called WR screens to his oldest, slowest WR to the tune of doing it even when he was on the bench and having to use a time out. Come on now, he isn't some poor victim here....
  21. Reich agreed to the staff and it's one of the reasons he got the job over Wilks. Also Duce Staley was a Reich hire and he is one of the main ones who went behind his back in frustration (yeah a vet assistant coach that he picked was frustrated at him. Doesn't really sound like he is innocent to me). I'm not giving the man a pass for failing miserable at a job he signed up for. Roll out Bryce, do some presnap shifts, do some run heavy offense with play action in there. He kept it predictable and boring to the tune of defenses knowing the exact routes. Yeah Bryce limits the offense, but go out swinging. Reich was just collecting his check and the players (and some staff) knew it.
  22. Maybe he didn't realize what he signed up for, but the man straight up gave up. Yeah he was in a tough spot but he was given a lot of cash to attempt to do a job he wasn't really interested in doing after a game or two. You have the players give up on you and you can't keep your job.
