Yeah like I said before the only way it happens is if the Texans fall in love with Young and offer something stupid. I don't see it happening though. We would also have Stroud rated very highly in this scenario.

Yeah especially when you mentioned Kentucky. Levis gets a bad rap on this board, but he had nothing outside of a decent RB on that roster. Young might end up injured behind that Kentucky OL. Like you said it's hard to tell outside of an educated guess.

Hmm that makes it interesting, but being a top recruit out of HS and going to a SEC School would still get him a lot of TV time. Ole Miss started off hot and loss 4 of the last 5 games. I think Young is a lot better than Dart so they probably win 2 or more of those losses. Getting them ranked high and possibly in the playoffs after being a top ranked recruit would definitely get the media's attention. I would think he still probably is in consideration if he went there. Eli made it happen, but he had the Manning name.

To me stating we were ok with trading up to 3, but the price so similar to 1 so we just did 1 shows we are comfortable with several prospects. Also the fact that we still haven't decided who we are drafting kind of shows the same thing. If that is truly the case and the Texans really like one vs the other then it makes sense to me. It's a lot of "ifs" though.

Yeah you are correct any of them could bust. I guess I mean the NFL wouldn't be shocked if we draft Young first. In fact it's almost expected it will be him or Stroud.

That's fair. I just think Olave, Wilson, JSN, and MHJ would be overkill in the weapons department and his LT is probably going early in this draft. Alabama is always loaded and Young wasn't playing with scrubs, but I think Stroud had some WRs running wide open a lot more than Young did. It doesn't mean Stroud can't do it with less talent around him, it's just an unknown at this point.

I all seriousness if we do draft Young, Corral could develop into a solid backup for him. Both are quick QBs that can avoid pressure and have quick accurate releases. The playbook wouldn't have to change that much...

Oh I get it. There is a lot to like about Young. I just think your playbook is a little more limited as in less passing playing under center (if any) strictly due to his height. Anything he can control he excels at. It’s also a game of inches and I’m not sure Stroud’s accuracy is coachable. It’s off the charts and I say this while recognizing Young is very accurate as well. It’s why either one and I’m happy.

To me that’s his biggest red flag. The pressure issues got better as the season progressed, but he has always had elite talent around him. It’s a question mark on how he can handle playing with lesser talent around him. He is still my preference, but I totally get it.

Ryan Day already said he wished he had Stroud for another year. He listens to gospel music on the way to practice and says he wants a coach that pushes him because he has a lot to learn. Yeah this is a bunch of bullshit.

Outside of Tua has there been an Alabama QB drafted in the top 10 in the past couple decades? Who are our other options? The OSU QB, or the other 2 SEC QBs?

I don’t understand? Where are you assuming he ends up in this scenario? He was a top recruit so is it UGA? OSU? USC? Oregon?
