  1. I’ll still be a fan, but I’ll be as grumpy as @Catsfan69watching a QB RUN for a TD…
  2. Lol I forgot about that. It was a terrible call that probably cost them the game, but who knows what would happen after that. Also if we are playing that game we can take away a championship from Brady for fumbling after Woodson hit him. It was just bad karma for bountygate. I don’t want that poo over here. We have bad enough luck as it is…
  3. He got the Saints to the Super Bowl with a HoF QB 1 time in how many years? This was also while he was paying to have his competitors injured.
  4. You want Josh Allen? We should take a chance on AR and bring in Kafka. That’s our best shot at a Josh Allen. If he busts we just try again.
  5. One of them should be available after this weekend for a face to face interview. Those are the top 2 candidates IMO.
  6. That's what I was thinking. If we trade for Payton (gross) then we will not have our top pick next year. That makes it very difficult to move up in this draft to acquire our guy AND makes it hard to land one in the next draft (which looks to be loaded). I have a feeling the Payton route leads to an expensive vet QB like Brady or Carr and just screws up our cap/draft for several years. Give me the new younger coach that will have the patience to develop a rookie QB plus our picks.
  7. Just think if we miss on a QB this year because we can’t trade up without our future first AND have to miss out on next year’s loaded class because that first is gone, we can all thank Sean Payton…
  8. The pie was for the Steichen explanation not Payton. He is gross…
  9. Can I ask why? They seem very similar in experience and everything…
  10. Damn you and your rational logic! (Kidding I like it). Yeah it’s mostly me just not liking Payton and not trusting him.
  11. It's also different to me if these old coaches have been with their franchise for a while now. I couldn't picture any of them going to a new team and starting over for the long term. I am definitely assuming the worst in him because I don't like him or want him here. I don't think we have enough cap space to lure too much talent this year (unless we do restructuring and make things difficult down the road). I kind of like the idea of a young offensive minded HC paired with a rookie QB and then build around them.
  12. Would you want to bring in Pete Carroll at 70 years old? Just wondering where your line is or if you have one. Trading away future assets for an older coach that has already won a Super Bowl just seems a little sort sighted to me. I just see him wanting to sign vets and go straight into win now mode and screw over the future. I don't see him developing a young rookie QB, he will probably want Carr or Jackson (trading away more future picks). If we were just signing one like Reich (similar age) to help turn our franchise around and build stability then for some reason it just sits better with me. It doesn't help that I am EXTREMELY bias on this because I hate Sean Payton.....
  13. Now make it a 59 year old coach that has already won a Super Bowl and enjoyed a nice long career. There is nothing left to prove. He could retire in 2-3 years and be content.
  14. I hope none of them sign him. Also if it gets down to one team it will be hard to pry away a first rounder for him.
  15. Yet he is still there. It's also a lot less common for a 36 year old coach to retire and go to broadcasting than a 60 year old one.
