  1. I just prefer a MUCH larger sample size before making any dumb judgements, but you keep doing you! Write off Manning, Aikman, and Elway after their rookie years too while you are at it. We should have extended Kyle Allen after his 5-0 start with us and Darnold after he started 3-0 too last year. Some QBs take time to develop and that is OK/normal. Again I think Purdy has played well and could possibly be a starting QB in this league, but let's give him some time as well....
  2. Maybe Lance started this year on the road in bad weather conditions without Kittle and CMC in a game where HE was the leading rusher? Looks like Kittle and CMC had some great games these past few games. Purdy has looked great, but that doesn't make Lance a bust. You have to look at the whole situation instead of these brass instant judgements...
  3. Might as well just cut him since some Huddlers deemed him a bust after 2 games. No team would pick him up instantly or anything.......
  4. Hmm what all rookies have played? I know WIllis played one game, Pickett has played several but can't stay healthy, Howell hasn't played, Corral hasn't played, Ridder hasn't played but will this weekend.... Am I missing some others?
  5. They are definitely tough and might be the best team in the NFC, but their defense is elite. I think we put up more points against Seattle who has a pretty weak defense.
  6. Maybe there are fewer attempts for pressures since we are barely passing now? I wonder where our pressure percentage ranks?
  7. I want better than 105 passing yards with a 58% completions, ESPECIALLY when our running game is thriving and the box is loaded. You said you wanted better than former MVP Cam Newton in his prime, but you like this? It's getting harder to harder to accept anything you say about QBs seriously anymore. -Remember Kyle Allen was 5-0 at one time as our starter.....
  8. I didn't say he played bad. I said we won because our strategy was keep the ball out of Sam's hands. The staff knows if we have to rely on him we are doomed. Keep the passing game short and simple (6 yards per attempt) and limit the passing attempts so Sam can't lose the game. 46 rushing attempts to 24 passing. So 14/24 for 105 total passing yards is good to you?? 10 incompletion to 14 completions. Drops happen to every QB and even with those 2 he still have 8 incompletions. This is all with the defense loading the box and our rushing game absolutely crushing it. It's funny how you keep talking down draft prospects because you want the next "Manning" or "Montana," but when Sam has a very pedestrian game supported by a great rushing attack you think he played well. If we make it to the playoffs with this style of play from Sam do you want him as our guy next year?
  9. Last one we drafted in the first was Cam, but let's just try every other more expensive strategy first....
  10. Hopefully he won't put himself in the concussion protocol with his helmet headbutting routine....
  11. He is definitely flying under the radar. Only threw 3 INTs last year playing in a tough conference.
  12. You have Jayden in the first? If he gets told he has a first round grade he might leave early, but I am not 100% sure he will...
  13. MARVIN LEWIS!! That entire list pisses me off... Where is Dan Graziano right now so I can drive there and slap him???
  14. I thinking we just roll with McAdoo as HC since he fixed Darnold and then we can resign Darnold to a top QB contract.
  15. As long as he brings his OC with him. I heard he is great...
  16. Minshew, Richardson, and Eagles OC has been mentioned a few times on here.
  17. Lol at resigning Darnold. Yeah let's roll with him, what's the worst that can happen?? We can always sign Cam midseason and have them share snaps during the game! We should also looking at resigning Rhule while we are at it.
  18. I’m just talking about passing attempts and passing yards per attempt. The one drop didn’t change the game plan. Run the ball and keep it out of Sam’s hands.
  19. As long as they limit his passing snaps and play “keep the ball of out Sam’s hands,” we have a chance…
  20. It depends on how Wilks finishes the season and who the first time HC is.
  21. I think fans (like myself) have some PTSD from the Fox/Rivera run first, overly conservative playing style. Wilks looks to be cut from a similar cloth, we some of us are concerned. However, looking at the last game, Wilks went for it on 4th and goal (didn’t make it, but still was aggressive), made adjustments after halftime and had Chinn playing some LB, AND had his team prepared after a bye week. That makes me feel a lot better about signing him if we do. It will be hard to sign and keep a good OC, but the Buffalo route looks to work where they just move up the assistants/promote from within.
