  1. I get where you are coming from and I want Willis, but they are more equipped to develop him. He can sit behind Mitch this year and their staff is superior to ours especially head coach...
  2. If they offer 3 firsts for him, it would be hard NOT to take it. Grab Howell, Corral, or Ridder in that order with their pick and you have all sorts of capital to trade up next year or two if they don't work out. If they do you have multiple first rounders to build around them.
  3. If McAdoo is a high potential guy, he has to have Willis ranked highest. Rhule needs to win now so he must have Pickett ranked highest. It will be interesting to see if he listens to McAdoo or not...
  4. Not QB, but I remember UT had Alvin Kamara on their bench behind Hurd (who tried to play TE later).
  5. Agreed, but if you are constantly getting pressured with little help it makes the QB try too hard to make a play. That's what I was referring to with "hero ball." It creates forced throws and QBs trying to run around and make something out of nothing which can lead to more sacks. Howell showed some of this last year, because it was the only way his team really had a chance. Run around trying to dodge defenders and throw to guys who aren't open. There is no doubt it has created some bad habits that can hopefully be coached out of him. Leaving the pocket too early, forcing throws, and running around holding the ball too long resulting in sacks are all habits I'm sure he has developed. Even when they actually have blocking their internal alarms are going off from the previous instant pressures.
  6. I believe so abs he went to the same school as Cam and played in Cam’s 7v7 league.
  7. He definitely needs some work I agree. I’m interested to see Corral tomorrow…
  8. He did well against Virigina Tech who I would think has more talent than Liberty.
  9. I think Kyle can design a simple offense for him to run as he learns the ropes.
  10. All the games I play are in my underwear.
  11. Person just said he completed 64/69 pass attempts?? I'd love to have Trey Lance. Kyle traded 3 firsts to get him...
  12. All ability and no work ethic/ability to read defenses gets you Jamarcus Russell, but the opposite can get you Teddy Bridgewater. You definitely need some elite traits in today's NFL. I like that Willis seems very positive, humble, and coachable. I also think that Pickett's arm is a little underrated (people are going to get triggered by that comment).
  13. Yeah Harsin has that program ruined. Half of the players transferred because he is apparently an asshole. The university actually looked into it openly and he nearly lost his job during the signing person. I think his OC and DC left as well, one took a lateral job and the other just resigned.
  14. Look into Liberty’s OL. It was as bad as UNC’s the past year. Willis was playing hero ball which means he will have some bad habits and take some coaching to correct. He will take some work but has some skills that aren’t coachable like his arm strength. I think of him as this year’s Trey Lance and Pickett is more if the Pro Ready Mac Jones. Both have benefits and weaknesses.
  15. Easy now Boomer. He was referring to Lamar Jackson originally who is definitely more than a one read QB. No one is wanting to draft a QB like Willis and use him primarily as a runner. He has the strongest arm in this class AND the ability to avoid pressure/extend plays with his legs. If you are talking about one read QBs that run not winning Super Bowls it’s a pretty dumb comment as well. They don’t last in the NFL. QBs (especially former MVPs) like Lamar are a different animal that can beat you with their legs or their arms. Mike Vick just couldn’t stay healthy because he never wanted to slide and had a smaller frame, but even he developed as a passer with Reid and the Eagles. He averaged 250 passing yards a gave in 2011. Defenses are too good to allow that by a one read runner.
  16. The guys you are referring to don’t make it period in the NFL. That’s why they aren’t on the list of top rushing QBs, too short of a shelf life. Lamar is far from a one read QB. When you draft a QB like Josh Allen you have to develop him to stay on the pocket as well like the Bills have. You use their legs to keep the defense honest and use his legs to extend plays and grab first downs. That would be the game plan for Willis IMO.
  17. He was at Auburn and (according to himself) was very immature. Said he had a lot of growing up to do, watching film etc… Sounds like he has matured since then.
  18. Lol I see your avatar changing back and forth. It’s an inner struggle.
  19. QBs that can’t read from the pocket won’t last in the NFL period. The argument was against Lamar who can absolutely read from the pocket when needed/asked by his coaches. Cam was the same way as is Murray.
  20. 4 of the top 11 (had to get to 11 to get Rodgers) all time rushing leaders for QBs have Super Bowl rings. That was my point. People crying a QB that can run will never win a Super Bowl don't know what they are talking about.
  21. These are all guys in the top 10 for rushing yards except Rodgers is number 11. Russ is 4 and Young is 5. Elway is number 10 with similar yards to..... McNabb. Was McNabb not a rushing QB either?? So let me get your logic straight. The number 4, 5, 10, and 11 guys on the all time rushing yards by a QB are not rushing QBs. Got it..... It's funny with the data clashes so hard with your logic. There are no one read QBs starting in the NFL to my knowledge. Both Murray and Lamar (two of the better runners) can sit back and go through progressions if needed.
