It was a roll out design play. Once the linebacker left coverage to go for Darnold his guy was open and he overthrew him period. That play was 100% on Sam…

How is a 3rd for a young CB that can still develop worse than a 2nd, 4th, and 6th for a QB bust which also made up not pick up another QB this offseason?
-
Yeah we lost that trade with the Jets. Let’s just freaking move on….

Cam can at least get first downs. This is a joke…
-
It’s the body twist at the end that’s the worst part. Grabbing a foot and holding on is just grabbing whatever you can. The body twist on the ankle is shitty…

Even washed up Cam is better than this…

Yeah, but at least he is doing it against decent competition and consistently (this year). He seems to have a strong work ethic (worked with Manning at his camp this offseason) and has been known as a film study guy. He seems similar (not as good though) to Burrow in ability and having a great senior year (even the whole age thing) with much less talent than Joe had. When I say “safest” I mean his floor seems the highest to me. Howell, Corral, and even Willis (much lower floor) have higher ceilings because of their athletic ability, but seem to carry more risk.

Pickett is the safest IMO. Howell has all the traits you want and excelled with a decent supporting cast last year. Matt Corral seems to have a lot of ability and competitive edge, but seems a little boom/bust to me. Not sure about Strong from Nevada, need to watch him play. Willis looks like a project.

The commercials aren’t an issue. It’s like a hour or two of recording for one day probably in the offseason. Most young players will pounce on an opportunity for that kind of cash for so little work. Baker struggled when he had a bad line and coaching staff. They fixed both the offseason before last and he has been solid since. Their new coach likes a run first offense and they have a stable of running backs. That hurts players like OBJ that are deep threats.

Unfortunately that’s not the norm. Josh Allen was a physical rarity, like Cam was. That’s one of the reasons the Niners gave up so much for Lance. You usually don’t get that size, speed, and football IQ like those 3.

Not anywhere near the first 3 rounds…

Talk to me about the Patriots, what do you know?

Willis’s stats look terrible. I haven’t been able to watch the game though…

Lucky for us we don’t draft OL in the first anymore….

We have an offense?

They don’t look stellar to me. I mean for a rookie they are solid, but how much further can he develop. His strengths (processing and decision making) are the things that rookie usually struggle with and get better over time. I just don’t think he gets much better than this, but as I stated I am wrong a lot.

Where is that vet he beat out? Oh still a free agent, must have been great… Cousins in the 4th is my point. QBs that are average in ability don’t belong in the first, especially top 10. You act like he is lighting it up. He stats aren’t that impressive and his has the Patriots with the same record as Darnold has the Panthers….

“Some of us actually know what we are talking about.” Then you proceed with this. Not many people questioned if Mac was the most pro ready. He was limited in his ability and needed a strong supporting cast, line and staff to succeed. He would have been crushed behind our line with Joe Brady. He was a low ceiling higher floor like a Cousins which doesn’t warrant a top 10 pick.

Swing and a miss… seriously Erving hasn’t been terrible. Maybe our second best lineman and I know that’s not saying much.
