  1. It’s hard to tell considering WHO he was playing. I look forward to seeing him against elite QBs and WRs. I think he will be great, but a top 10 pick on CB isn’t really a franchise changer. Like the Lions recently, Broncos last year, Jags with Ramsey, and Cards with Peterson have shown us. OL or QB should have been the pick with several options available. Slater would have been the safest, followed by Mac, with Fields having the most potential IMO.
  2. I thought the same at first. He is actually a lot quicker and more elusive than I originally thought. He works the pocket and isn’t afraid to run with it every now and then. He isn’t going to run the QB option, but has a little if that Rodgers escapability in my opinion…
  3. Rhule’s seat is hot and Tepper wants to energize the fans. That screams QB in the draft IMO.
  4. Why are you tracking how often people are posting? You need some better hobbies my friend…
  5. He is going to get injured behind that line and running like he is. I hope he enters the draft even if we don’t pick him.
  6. One board has UVA Brennan Armstrong at 14 as their top QB….
  7. Foles is coming with Doug Pederson to mentor our rookie QB?
  8. These type college program jobs might not be available next year is the only thing making me think he could possibly leave, but I doubt it. I’m not even completely out on Rhule, but he needs to change his OC pretty quickly…
  9. It would be nice to have an experienced coach to help Rhule with practice, game planning, etc… Also he would be a great replacement if Rhule looks bad again. Seems like a logical, smart move so I doubt we make it…
  10. If he is a Burrow-Lite, I’ll be happy with him. The line will have to be upgraded in some shape or form also…
  11. Darnold is absolutely part of the blame. He holds on to the ball and makes terrible reads when he has time. Our line last week was a disaster, but we have had a different combination every week (which is part of the problem). Tua’s line has been worse this season and he hasn’t looked nearly as bad as Sam.
  12. He also had Gross at LT and Smith/Mushin as his WRs. Imagine if Cam had that…
  13. ND makes sense. Although they don’t need a rebuild, Rhule’s personality was just made for college.
  14. You are the first person I’ve seen with this take? 40 TDs to 7 INTs 67.7% completion and over 4000 passing yards breaking Marino’s record at Pitt. I’ve seen the one year wonder and limited athletic ability arguments, but reading the field appears to be a strength.
  15. Just questioning the “total defense” metric. Using strictly total yards is flawed by short field positioning. Using points allowed us flawed by special teams and defensive TDs. I want our defense to be great, but they seem so streaky right now. Looked great against Arizona and terrible against WFT and Miami. We definitely have talent on that side of the ball.
  16. What if a team has a lot of turnovers from Darnold and Cam (last game) throwing picks. That leaves short fields to score. Also they are clearly just running down our throats and milking the clock while scoring. Time of possession and points allowed should be included in overall defensive rankings. There are too many variables to go strictly by yards. Denver is 9th in yards allowed but 3rd in points. Points decide the game along with time of possession.
