Brady Christensen vs Bucs 1st rd pick Joe Tryon
ForJimmy replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
If he turns out to be a decent LT we may have crushed this draft! I’m excited about Brown and Tremble plowing people over for CMC!! -
Lance ended up in a great spot. Can sit behind Jimmy G until he is ready or Jimmy gets hurt. He will have a solid line, defense and running game along with a big target in Kittle. Throw all of this in with what might be the best offensive mind in the game and he should reach his potential IMO.

I liked Peyton Ramsey in college. He was a tough smart player. Not sure if he has the arm talent for the NFL, but I’m glad we are giving him a shot.

Donte Jackson for Stephon Gilmore - Who says no?

Too expensive and old for what we are building. -
Behind one of those giant guards we drafted/signed

Really good video: ESPN crew discusses Darnold and the Panthers
ForJimmy replied to JawnyBlaze's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well at least our staff isn’t alone in thinking highly of him. That’s definitely reassuring. We also have a solid unit around him, so we will know our answer sooner vs later... -
He has a terrible 2020 season with no help, we all know this. 2019, still with no help, he had a better rating than Baker. They got Baker a better coach with protection/weapons and look at him now. https://www.ibtimes.com/best-nfl-quarterbacks-2019-ranking-all-32-starting-qbs-lamar-jackson-russell-wilson-2894543 We are stuck with Darnold now for better or worse, let’s just hope for it’s for the better!

They got the Funk?!

We have a higher grade on Darnold than Fields/Jones. Are teams wrong on their grades? Yes, all the time. The team with the most pressure is the Niners. Imagine Lance busting and Fields/Jones playing great after trading 3 first rounders to move up and get him. I personally think he will do great with Shanahan, but they gave up a lot and time will tell...

Chinn is our SS who is more prone to cover TEs.
-
Burns, Reddick, Brown, Chinn, Jackson and Horn with the aid of Shaq, Perryman, Jones, YGM and Fox.
-
He was a rookie. Was highly rated at WV before he got kicked off the team. He definitely has some ball hawk skills...
-
Let’s get Joe Brady with him in the film room and see what he can do. I’m bought in now that we didn’t draft Fields.
-
Greet draft! Our staff just views Darnold as a better prospect than Fields. Once I accepted that, it’s easy to see how great and athletic this young team is. Our defense is going to be oozing with potential now and (thinking of Darnold as a young QB with potential like our staff does) our offense is really just missing a LT with a few young options now.

Round 6 (A) Deonte Brown - G - Alabama
ForJimmy replied to Jackofalltrades's topic in Carolina Panthers
Brown falls forward and Tremble mows over anyone else in the way! -
He is a better man corner with huge upside. The potential is to put him on the opponents top WR and have him take away that target.
-
Rodney Pete come lace up!
-
What if Darnold misses like 1 game with an injury, but plays well. We need someone capable to fill in. I’m very happy that this is one of my concerns about this roster.
-
Wouldn’t mind us drafted a backup QB with some upside. If Darnold goes down I don’t want to see Grier...

Round 4 - Carolina Panthers select Chuba Hubbard, RB, Oklahoma State.
ForJimmy replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Can’t wait to see Chuba penetrate that D! -
Matt Rhule “I thought Scott was masterful today”
ForJimmy replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
The same people would be critical of us drafting Fields. “Too many needs. Not giving Darnold a fair chance. Etc...” -
Round 3(b) - Carolina Panthers Select Notre Dame TE Tommy Tremble
ForJimmy replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Best name in the draft. -
All aboard the Tommy Tremble bandwagon
ForJimmy replied to Panther Believer's topic in Carolina Panthers
I get it, we just see him as more of a complete TE than ND played him. Also have a great blocker in the backfield will help our shaky line. -
Yeah but with how weak our LTs are he might win the job there. Hopefully like a better Erving or Wharton. An OG that can play decent LT.
