  1. Young was QB1 on a lot of boards. Some people are just wanting to rewrite history around here.
  2. $20 million this year limits us to a degree. I agree with the franchise bungling comment though.
  3. Which years we absorb certain amounts. We can manipulate all of that more in a longer term contract.
  4. Wouldn’t tagging him for two years eat up a chunk of an extension without the flexibility??
  5. Yep. Let it happen naturally. Either Bryce develops or leads up to a top pick.
  6. It's a good debate and it's what makes this a hot topic. Both views can be right and both have good points. My final view is if the right trade is there take it IE the Baltimore trade. If not, tag or try to extend if you can get a deal similar to the Sweat deal. There are several variables to consider. We just need a replacement plus capital if we trade him IMO.
  7. I mean CMC benched himself with injuries to not get hurt. Players do this all the time. He was just honest about it. So are we trading about Brown because of this rebuild? Or are you wanting to hold on to some talent. I just don't want to see people crying about Burns like they have been with Moore and CMC if he and traded and plays well.
  8. People seem to love change which I get because our team hasn't been performing, but we have traded away some real talent lately for bad returns. At some point you have to retain some talent plus add new pieces to build a complete roster.
  9. His job is to pressure the QB which is does. Our offense always playing from behind giving him way less chances to make a game saving play isn't really on him as much as it is on our entire team. I just know watching that game he missed (Bears game I believe) our pass rush was nonexistent and it was frustrating. I'd love to see him with another decent edge on the line.
  10. I'd be down for a trade like this. https://lastwordonsports.com/nfl/2024/01/31/brian-burns-trade-ravens-panthers/ Hypothetical Trade We’d Love to See: EDGE Brian Burns for 2024 first-round pick, 2025 third-round pick and EDGE David Ojabo Ojabo can replace Burns in the lineup, we get a first and a future 3rd.
  11. I mean there aren't many opportunities for a sack to completely change the outcome of a game. Especially with how terrible our offense has been playing. A sack puts the other team's offense in a bad spot. It's up to our team and coaches to take advantage of that afterwards.
  12. I could see that. I mean the Rams seem to be a well ran organization and were willing to give up a lot for him?
  13. The draft is tough for pass rushers even if we use a premium pick (which will also cost some money). Is there a FA we can get at a decent price?
  14. I saw our game without him this year there was 0 pressure. It was awful. He is disruptive as a pass rusher, I mean he just had 12.5 sacks the prior year…
  15. If we trade him. Who are we replacing hIm with? I’m not against it providing the compensation is right and we have a replacement. I liked that Ravens trade scenario floating around a few weeks ago.
  16. Great stuff as always. Do you think Malik can be an outside WR? With AT in the slot and the slot being Mingo’s natural position I think we really need some outside WRs. I don’t know enough about Malik to know if he is that kind of WR or not…
  17. Yeah and I’m saying that’s really not the case. It was a 6.2 YPA boring ass Reich offense we have seen all year. There was just a lot more attempts so 2 went for the 25 plus instead of 1.
  18. Here is when the WR turns to look for the pass. I mean they each have a foot inside the same yard marker. If you think that’s 3-5 yards I’m not sure what to tell you.
  19. I’m saying 2 passes over 25 yards out of 58 attempts featuring 6.2 YPAs isn’t much better than any other game. Our redzone offense looked better. That Dalton game gets overhyped on here a lot. I mean the Commanders offense looked better when Brissett went in for Howell. Part of it is also just experience.
  20. Yeah one was 25 to AT and the other was 27 to Chark who ran another 20 yards afterwards (just posted the video). Thats not really airing out downfield. It was 6.2 YPA that’s .7 more YPAs than Young’s bottom of the league 5.5. I’m still surprised we threw it 58 times. Andy was icing his old shoulder after that game for sure. I’m sorry about 2 out of 58 attempts were completed for over 25 yards and again 6.2 YPA doesn’t look like much of an upgrade to me. Our offense sucked all around last year.
  21. Confidence, play calling (Reich even said Dalton wrote in some plays for him to call), a weak secondary, experience? Plenty of reasons that happened. Looks like Dalton hit one 47 yard bomb the next long was in the 20s? He also averaged 6.2 yards per attempt that game. I wouldn’t refer to that as significant improvement? Hell 20 of that 47 yard reception was YAC. Here is the one pass over 25 yards out of 58 that game.
  22. I’d be down for this trade https://lastwordonsports.com/nfl/2024/01/31/brian-burns-trade-ravens-panthers/#:~:text=According to an article by,quest for the Lombardi Trophy. Hypothetical Trade We’d Love to See: EDGE Brian Burns for 2024 first-round pick, 2025 third-round pick and EDGE David Ojabo Ballentine’s proposed tag-and-trade with Baltimore would actually be a tremendous deal for both teams. The Ravens would get a more proven pass-rusher than Devid Ojabo, while Carolina would refill its draft cache.
  23. Honestly we still would need some work . We need a couple years of that IMO.
