He does have 2 ACL tears plus 4 years of subpar tape at Indiana. He is a 6th year senior like Pickett was as well. His 4 years at Indiana all ended in injuries. These things could drop him in the draft, but there is a lot to like as well.

I think their swab has developed well this season. Their center has some issues….

I think Icky will be fine. A better OC might help him but at worst he should make a great LG which he desperately need as well.

Yeah people get way too vested about their opinions of players. We have people disappearing and hiding when he looks good and boasting when he looks bad and vice versa. Everyone should want him to develop into a good QB. It’s what’s best for the franchise. However if he doesn’t we just move on from him in 2025. It is what it is.

Good at evaluating is the key. You can miss on 33 just as easy as 42. If we get someone who can evaluate well trading down makes sense with all the holes we have.

He is not worthy of the #1 pick. I’ve been consistent with this. We gave up way too much for a gamble like him. IF we were insisting on moving those assets Stroud was the safe pick. I just think our whole roster is awful right now. We need to build it up and roll with Young in 2024. If he doesn’t look better then reset in 25 with a new QB.

It looked like Trevor had about 21 more passing yards per game before today’s game. Both had awful coaching around them that couldn’t last all season. It’s still a long shot for Young to turn it around as quickly as Lawrence has. The Jags hired the right coach and have been drafting well since, along with building a solid roster. Even with all of that Lawrence is still streaky. Hopefully we hire the right GM and HC this offseason to help elevate this roster. If Young struggles again next season they need to ability to move on in 2025.

You can play that game all day. Plenty of talented players went AFTER their pick as well. How about Tank Dell?
