    You would think things would have been easier for AR in college against smaller slower players, but it was not compared to Young.

    Agreed. People like to assume AR is going to become the next Josh Allen. The chances of that are the same as Young becoming the next Brees.

    That’s understandable. 7-8 is probably the safest prediction given all the changes, but honestly everything is still a big question mark right now. Young has had a handful of snaps and we have barely played any starters/schemes so far.

    We just had this Vegas talk with our pick. Stroud was favored by a lot then Young then Levis randomly one day. As long as people are betting against each other and they are making money, they could care less how accurate it is.

    3 games is pretty big especially when they aren’t picking 17-0 or 0-17. It can be a 6 game swing for us between 10.5 and 4.5 wins.

    He was a much better passer and could read the field better. Many people thought AR needed a year to sit because he is still pretty raw as a passer. AR isn’t dropping 4000 passing yards like Cam did his 16 game rookie season.

    I’m just glad we actually have a potential young franchise QB in Young. If we were still in QB purgatory I’d be more grumpy about Pickett looking good.

    Honestly Mingo has a pretty large ceiling as well. Great trade IMO! Lost Stroud but got Howell with a proven OC and solid OL.

    I have Pickens on my bench in fantasy. I think he can become a WR1 for them. Johnson seems more like a WR2.

    I never said we would be better or worse. Simply it’s too early to know. That line has a huge chance of moving as the season progresses whether it goes up or down is anyone’s guess.

    So we are guaranteed to win 7.5 games? Vegas had Stroud as our top pick until several weeks before the draft. There is definitely SOME guessing involved based on what limited data they have. We have a new staff, new offense, new defense, and new QB. Chances are there will be some struggles, but guessing where we finish is definitely a tough task at the moment.

    It looks like the top 3 picks plus last year’s only first round QB plus the top pick from 2 years ago. Most teams played their starters during the 3rd game back when it was a 4 game preseason. The risk of injury remains the same.

    That number has a huge chance of changing as the season actually starts/progresses. It’s a complete guessing game right now. It’s basically 1 away from the median which tells me they are unsure, but leaning toward some growing pains.
