Anthony Richardson declares for the draft

Will Grier did more in college than Josh Allen. Do you think Buffalo fans were more excited about Allen than we were Grier. AR is a pick on potential and the future. How many Corral jerseys were bought last year? 3rd round picks don’t typically get the fans pumped up… -

I agree. He needs some consistency in fundamentals, but that can certainly be coached. I think he was able to get by on pure arm talent and athletic ability in high school. I saw a pretty big improvement in his footwork from game 1 to that FSU game this year already. -

Most fans aren’t excited about a 3rd round QB who has been on IR as was drafted by Rhule and his staff that has shown no potential yet (granted it was a VERY small sample size). He just has a lot working against him at this point. If he becomes a franchise QB that will be awesome, especially if it’s in Carolina. -

Tom Brady wasn’t a Tom Brady level passer in college. 60% passer with 16 TDs and 6 INTs. (14 TDs to 10 INTs the year prior) If we get the right coaching staff and AR puts in the work to be an elite passer, there is no reason to think he absolutely can’t be. He has the arm and is more than capable to make every pass needed in the NFL. He needs to interview well, and I have no reason to think he won’t from what I’ve seen and read. -
How good is Brian Burns 2022 campaign?

If that was the case all of these 1st round pass rushers would be in this list though? I get it, I would have done the trade, but it is a premium position. Just look at the average salary for an elite one. -

That just means that many of these early round pass rushers aren’t living up to expectations though? Maybe it’s a high bust potential position which would make it hard to find a replacement. -
Saints busted (again) for faking an injury

Take away draft picks! They will take a fine if in helps them win (which in this case it did not). -

That’s what I was thinking. I year of meh play at the position means he should probably get better. Several years of it means maybe that’s the best he can do… -
I like how he said both Mannings have to be outliers because Brady is. Yeah a 1st round QB winning it all is equally rare as 6th rounder winning 7??

https://lastwordonsports.com/nfl/2022/12/07/carolina-panthers-anthony-richardson-2023-mock-draft/ Another good read. Even mentions pairing him with the Eagles OC. Goes through his highs (and lows) in college. -

Yeah I agree. Signing (not trading) for a solid vet while also drafting your QB is a solid plan moving forward. -

Levis with the right HC/OC and our good young OL could be interesting. -

I agree, but he could drop in this draft like Fields did (especially if UGA crushes them right after Michigan did). -

I would say he is Teddy with an actual deep ball (which is Teddy's biggest weakness). However he probably isn't nearly as cerebral/quick at reading defenses as Teddy is yet. -

Sounds like you have better odds than me! -

I like him and think he has a great arm. Looks good dropping the ball in through different layers of defenses. He hasn't had much adversity to overcome and has the greatest WR in college football on his team. He has been all over the place from different analysts and scouts though. I've seem some rate him as the top guy and others say he needs to stay another year. It will be interesting to see where they all land.
