  1. Things like that make me think he might have a future here. That kind of leadership can make all the difference.
  2. I’m just a fan of the team and he looks the most promising we have seen in a while at the position. If Corral was lighting it up I’d be just as excited. I just don’t want to watch the same horrible offense we saw last year.
  3. Are you implying the Browns didn’t also run the ball more?
  4. I mean the fact that Joe Brady wanted Teddy because he was familiar with his offense tells us Rhule is pretty much letting the OC handle the offense and QB development. Sean Ryan would be right there with the OC.
  5. He is ok I guess…. Maybe they will cut him and we can sign him?
  6. He compared the first 4 seasons as starters for them and they are very similar. We all agree our staff can’t take him to the NO Brees level like Peyton did, but it does show you he has had a better career than most people realize. I honestly never realized Brees had that many INTs early in his career. The point is he “could” be “our” Brees AKA long term QB if he stays healthy and continues to grow as a passer.
  7. So the be clear you stated “well they only had Brees for 2 years and had a much longer look at Baker.” Instantly debunked and the stats are pretty damn close in their first 4 years starting, 1 of which Baker was playing injured after week 2. Baker also went to a worse franchise with 3 different coaches over his 4 years. No one is saying he will be the next Brees, because we don’t have the stability and staff the Saints provided him with. We are just saying let’s not write him off yet. If he fails it will be so easy to let him go in FA and either draft one or roll with Corral. Let’s just see how the season unfolds before we freak out about Baker fan boys or cry about Corral being treated unfairly.
  8. You don’t remember correctly. He was a Charger for 5 years with very similar numbers to Baker’s current stats. It’s already been posted here. Brees found Peyton though and Baker got stuck with Rhule.
  9. Yeah but there were posters stating he is only looking good running because he is a man among boys due to him playing for a small school. He can legit run (obviously not Lamar or Vick), but looks like a smaller Cam in running style/ability. People need to realize D2 athletes have also come a long way. I mean 4.6 is normal for a NFL linebacker, if they can run a 4.4 then they are elite in terms of speed. Shaq runs a 4.64 and is considered fast, Luke ran a 4.58 and was incredible (not on speed alone, but he could close in on the ball pretty damn fast).
  10. Yep, I remember hearing "he gets ran down by D2 linebackers" and "he can't do that against NFL players." However I wouldn't trust Rhule to develop him properly. He landed in a nice spot in Nashville.
  11. Wasn’t Brees the “leftover” from the Chargers? He was just simply stating they had a similar first 4 years if you look at the stats and then both went to another team. Their style/demeanor is way different and Brees went to Peyton’s Saints vs Rhule’s Panthers. Pretty big difference…
  12. I would imagine mid to late draft picks don't have a high success rate in general. I doubt it's just a Panthers thing. That range is usually special teamers/depth players. That's why I'm all for using one on OL every year. Norwell, BC (although I think he was a 3rd), now possible Mayes all seem like good players (Mayes is still undecided but looks good so far). The Pats usually do a good job developing quality OL with late round picks.
  13. He looked like a rookie who didn’t get many reps which is exactly what he was. He looked awful the first game and better his second. He will keep getting better with more experience. Let’s see what Baker can do this year which will help dictate how we handle Corral in the future.
  14. Just need Rosen and… Josh Allen. You think the Bills will cut him?
  15. We could definitely use some quality DT depth. Hoskins was his teammate the previous year so maybe he gave us the insider scoop.
  16. We finally find a consistent kicker and he gets hurt… damn it.
  17. Yeah I could see him leaving and dominating somewhere. He is a big 4.3 WR with a huge catch radius. It’s not like he currently has a major injury, it’s mostly hamstring issues that we won’t risk further injury in practice or preseason. I would like to give TMJ another year before sending him off.
  18. We have no idea what the offer even is? A conditional 6th/7th based on playing time? That wouldn’t be too bad. What did we trade Greg Little for? Maybe something similar to that…
  19. Yeah we might not even need a vet 3rd QB depending on how our staff looks. Let the rookie and Corral battle it out.
  20. Yeah we either sign him, draft one from the loaded class, or roll with Corral. We have some options.
  21. You don’t consider his rookie year a good year? Wasn’t he setting rookie records? Last year he shouldn’t have been playing. I see a great rookie year (for a rookie), sophomore slump where he threw way too many INTs, 3rd year he was great, and 4th year he shouldn’t have been playing (banged up pretty bad in week 2).
  22. I’ll take Kyle as our coach in a minute. He had Jimmy G in the Super Bowl!
  23. It is until you look at who the quarterbacks are. It’s the backup and 3rd stringers. They were what 1-1 with rookie Lance out of NDSU and 9-6 with Jimmy last year. The 7-27 are like Mullins and other QBs who will probably never play again.
  24. I’m jealous of the Shanahan Lance combo.
  25. I see you need a QB and there is a great option right here, BUT what about another WR1????
