    Agreed and we need our 2nd/3rd rounders to build our line up.

    Watson by himself obviously doesn’t make us an elite team. IF we get him we will be retaining some of our talent (Moore, Brown, Chinn, YGM, hopefully Burns/Anderson). The main reason our GM is cleaning out our salary is to build a team around Watson if we manage to get him.

    You know nothing is comparable to a 25 year old all pro QB being traded right? It’s never been done before. If it has to be multiple 1st round picks AND the team has to win it all then no it hasn’t happened before... Closest thing would be Chiefs giving up two first round picks to select Mahomes and winning a Super Bowk with him.

    I wonder how often he needed to at OSU. They usually has a pretty big talent advantage. Take away the inconsistencies of 2020 (players/coaches quarantined, had to keep canceling games etc) he put up video game numbers in 2019. I’m high on Fields. Get him focused and coached up and that Clemson game was a glimpse of what he can do.

    Could you not say this about every team in the league. He must not want to play anywhere because he isn’t anywhere else?

    Oh don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying we should draft him. I’m just saying don’t expect him to be there with our 2nd round pick. I personally like Fields outside of Lawrence...

    No. I want someone who can play the next decade for us for that kind of capital. Watson or Mahomes, maybe Allen. I’d rather trade next year’s first and draft Fields.

    Why would they want Anderson? He was great in our system, but off and on as a Jet which is the direction Houston is heading. Plus he isn’t on a rookie contract. If we do trade him, we better sign Samuel or Fuller ASAP.

    Was the Adam’s trade Fitterer or Schneider. I was under the impression Fitts was more involved on the draft/scouting side in Seattle?

    Unless Shanahan likes Teddy. Honestly with that defense/offensive line/head coach he might be solid for them. He still will miss the deep balls like Jimmy G did...

    I could see that, but replacing Watson with Darnold can’t get the fans excited...

    They would mainly want CMC to fill the seats and he can be an incredible check down for a rookie QB. Not sure if they do, but this would be the only reason I can think of,

    Good call! He has quite the dead cap hit the next couple years. I just assumed with him being the highest paid RB that he would be a big contract to move.... Looks like it would only really come in to help in 24 and 25... Definitely leaning on the side of keeping him more now. Hurney has me always worried about our salary cap.
