Anyone know yet details on what portion of salary we’re still on the hook for?

Patriots have talked to the Panthers about a draft day trade
NAS replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Same, anything but a first and second would be a fleecing -
With the draft approaching I have one question.

It's a great question, I'd say the chances are pretty high. There has to be some analytics geek on here who can analyze the previous ESPN coverage of the draft to come up with the exact answer. Come on boys, get to work! -
12,000 posts later and you're way past cynical when it comes to rooting for your team. It's a long ride man, just enjoy it, the pain and all

One more day to go! The anticipation is almost over

This may be the worst mock I've ever seen

It’s true

I don’t remember ever anticipating the NFL draft so much. Even when we drafted Cam I wasn’t this impatient because I knew what was coming. This draft has me counting the hours and minutes. It feels like the most consequential draft in decades. For year 2 of Rhule regime, they have to hit a homerun and take the next step towards becoming a winning franchise. There are so many unknowns. Do Panthers truly believe Darnold is the answer and draft a top LT, do they still draft a QB, maybe trade back and fill more holes on the roster? I don’t care anymore let’s fugin go!

Fitt said that picks 1-16 are high level quality and after that there is a meaningful drop off. If we trade back, hopefully it’s no lower than 15 and we get picks this year and next.

I don’t think he assaulted any of them, but he comes across as a loser and definitely ruined his reputation

Teddy hasn't reached out to Sam yet following the trade
NAS replied to JABANOG's topic in Carolina Panthers
Even before he was traded, did you guys ever hear any positive things about Teddy's presence in the locker room and leadership during the season? I know there was a lot of preseason hype, but the silence was deafening towards the end of the year. -
He looked more dominant as a LB than Safety. Hopefully we find some depth in the draft at both positions.

I just hope Jets didn't damage him permanently

Not an 8 to 5 guy like Ron

Source: Panthers Open to Drafting Quarterback With No. 8 Pick
NAS replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
If they thought we wanted Lance, wouldn’t it be more logical they trade ahead of us? If we accept the trade it’s basically pointless for Denver because then they know we weren’t going to take him anyway -
“Trevor Lawrence deserves to be the number one pick, but after that, in my book, there’s three receivers, a tight end and two offensive tackles ahead of the next quarterback. But this desperation for quarterbacks . . .”

Great article from MMQB showing just how much things have changed and importance of QBs to building a successful franchise. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/04/11/20-qb-decisions-nfl-draft-fmia-peter-king/

I disagree, we lost some good players to free agency and our Oline needs a lot of work. -

Yes, but then you have to be willing to assume we suck again this year if we can't draft another immediate impact player at #8. -

I think it's a bit of both. If somehow a QB they like drops to #8 (probably unlikely), then it makes sense to pick him up. Otherwise, it's a good smoke screen to ensure one of the QB needy teams trades up and clears way for Sewell, Pitts, etc.
