  1. Yeah, sorry man. Burns disappearing and not making big plays when it counts is the reality. He is a very good pass rusher but his effectiveness and value is not top-tier.
  2. Yes, that would seem to be a big flag. Reminds me of the conversations last year regarding the RB positioning in the backfield and it being a run.
  3. But he distributes the ball to people with routes...
  4. Nah. DJ has been a spark and playmaker of the offense for years, kind of like how Cam dragged the offense kicking and screaming. Burns is not that, at least not commensurate with the money he is asking for.
  5. Eh, I'd put Jefferson, Hill, Chase, Adams, McLaurin, Kupp, Evans, AJ Brown, Metcalf, Deebo, and Allen over him off the top of my head. That's not a slight in DJ at all though, as there is a ton of receiver talent in the NFL these days.
  6. Is DJ Moore a Top 10 NFL receiver? Probably not. Is he a Top 25, if not 20, receiver? Absolutely. Carolina makes some really, really dumb decisions.
  7. Standard operating procedure for a Rivera team playing in prime time.
  8. Man, that very first play had a receiver (Chark) running free just deeper than Thielen. Bryce puts that deep enough and no one else is getting near that.
  9. These articles/takes (both positive and negative) are hilarious. Reminds me of Marvin McNutt and the greatest incompletion ever.
  10. Almost like this is a situation where arm strength would come into play, the ability to throw 'off platform' as the buzzword currently is. I don't disagree with any of your second paragraph but Bryce's play is not NFL level right now. It is what it is.
  11. If that were really the case then I'd like to think they'd be taking away his ability to do so.
  12. My god, if this is true (big if here)this is so much worse than the Hurney years. I also wouldn't put it past Tepper to be mandating this type of action from Fitterer. I have absolutely nothing to back that speculation up but it's the exact type of fuggery that's been happening since he took over.
  13. It's interesting also comparing Bruce's 3 passing charts - the passes have been getting closer and closer to the LOS each game.
  14. Holy geez, Bryce talking at the 2:30 mark... dude sounds exactly like my 12 year old son.
  15. Gotcha. The only logged throw that travelled that far was the TMJ one so it must not have counted as an offiical play if it was indeed that ong of a throw. I wasn't able to watch that game so can't say.
  16. Didn't see that one but yeah, have to be able to capitalize on those opportunities.
  17. I didn't say anything about Dalton so you can keep that nonsense out of your reply to me. Since you brought it up though, here is his chart vs Seattle - 4/7 past 20 yards including a TD. Bryce has attempted 4 passes at or past 20 yards all year, 3 of them less than 25 yds, and completed 1. Bryce didn't even throw the ball past 20 vs the Vikings.
  18. This are his Week 1 and Week 2 charts - what 'deep overthrows' are you talking about? Despite what the NFL says 20 yards is not a deep throw, as it's barely longer than where the safeties line up. There is one throw of 40 yards but that's Drew Brees-deadarm depth.
  19. We need a common sense spell for Tepper and the FO though. That post didn't describe one of those.
  20. That whole "no one will want to come here" stuff is just nonsense. There are only 32 NFL HC jobs and there are always people that want one. It's one thing to fire poeple that do OK such as Caldwll in Indy, Callahn in Oakland, etc, but most flks understand that results are required to keep a job. If you do OK and show positive movement then you get some leeway but doing an extraordinarily bad job may = being fired extraordinarily fast. Not unreasonable IMO.
  21. We saw that in 2010. It wasn't pretty and drove Steve to be out the door until Cam swayed him back.
  22. WTF is that route combination? I guess maybe a mesh/crossing that gets rushed by pressure?
