  1. And to think we could have traded burns, a pass rusher much worse than Parsons, for almost the same as Parsons... God we blew that chance
  2. Nice! We desperately need him out there. Curious if we have a tight end/RB help block the left side with Icky (presumably) out vs jacksonville
  3. Yikes, if we have no Icky or Lewis week 1, better have Bryce roll out to the right every single pass play or he might die...
  4. Wonder what led to them deciding to remove his appendix. I know its mostly a useless organ, but weird timing to do it right now without a cause
  5. I think it's a combination of that and other potential HC candidates wanted nothing to do with Tepper because of how much he wanted to be in control of all aspects of the football team.
  6. Love Cam, but this statement right here resonates with me. The amount of times Cam would overthrow a RB on a swing pass, many times because he wanted to torpedo it in there instead of just lofting it, always drove me insane. In terms of the deep ball - we didn't have a legit deep ball threat after Smitty left for Baltimore - sorry, Tedd Ginn just running deep every play and having no other route he could run doesn't count. Didn't help we went from Chudz, a vertical passing playbook (think he ran some time of Air Coryell offense), to Mike "run, run, pass, punt" Shula. Cam did look good under Norv (Air Coryell again) and finally had a deep ball threat (DJ) until his shoulder died. After that, he couldn't really throw the ball beyond 20 yards. I actually thought Cam threw deep balls pretty well - it was the 15ish yard routes (which wouldn't have been that bad if we didn't have so many stone hands receivers) and the RB screen/swing passes that he struggled with IMO.
  7. Easy - because Frank didn't have a choice. Tepper 100% wanted Bryce and that was never going to change. The better question is why did Tepper hire Frank knowing Bryce was not fit for his system
  8. Or i could just go to one of the many "high seas" websites and watch the game. Or just go to a bar - there are enough that have bottled cheap beers for $4-5 or a bucket of cheap beers for like $20. Not sure why anyone pays for the NFL package in today's age
  9. Yeah, it's like upgrading from a pile of elephant poo to a pile of horse poo. It's technically an upgrade, but is it really...
  10. I don't know - he played for a wonky BS offense with Tennessee and I thought he had some red flags on his tape while playing for them. Not surprised he has struggled in the NFL
  11. Guess I should have said active 53 + PS. First 4 or 5 dudes I saw we claimed were all WR & DB
  12. Not surprised Fat Fhule would do something that moronic... Dude relied on bossing his players around and hoping they would listen to him in college - that crap doesn't work in the NFL
  13. Hard to interpret something that way (even if it is accurate). Thielen knows the playbook and probably doesn't need as many reps, as say the rest of our receives who are rookies (Tet, Horn), 2nd/3rd year (XL, Coker, Tremayne), or were possible cut candidates (Renfrow, Moore). I probably wouldn't have focused as much on Thielen also when they needed a lot of info on all of the other receivers
  14. Crazy to think we pretty much got equivalent trade value out of Thielen and Mingo...
  15. Would rather have picked up some of his salary if we could keep our 5th round pick... Not sure what we are going to use our cap space on unless we plan to roll it over to next year
  16. Not the worst return in the world considering it sounded like the Vikings didn't want to give up anything better than a multiple 6ths a day ago. Still think the Vikings were desperate for Thielen and we shouldn't have budged from a 3rd (or something like their 3rd for AT and a 6th)
  17. Not sure if you are talking good or bad about Bryce with that statement... Regardless, this is his prove it year. Even if we don't get wins because our defense is very suspect, we need to look good on offense. If we don't, we are probably moving on
  18. While Vikings fans have been annoying the past few days wanting AT from us for pennies, we can't hate our purple brothers. We have them to think for NO shitting the bed in the playoffs twice in their peak super bowl chance window. I'll always love them just for the Minneapolis miracle and the meme it provided all of us
  19. If he stays healthy both seasons and still plays at a high level, it's a moot point and will end up working well for Trey. If he has a serious injury this year, he's screwed. He won't get a franchise tag and he will get a small 1 year deal after he recovers
  20. Hopefully we can find some better upgrades on waivers to replace DJ, Evans, Crumedy, and backup ILB
