  1. Random stat with the middle of the field passes. My counter argument to that is why throw it down the middle of the field when you can just throw it over the top against CJ & Taylor... I think our defense didn't look any better the back half of the schedule, which is surprising since our offense was actually somewhat competent and not a trainwreck like the first half of the year.
  2. Because they are the Raiders... When was the last time that franchise made a smart decision? Like the 90s? The Raiders want to make Carr the scapegoat for why they sucked last year when he was far from the reason. There is a reason that many of his teammates were pissed off when he was benched the last 2 games of the year. Again, I want us to get our franchise QB in the draft, but Carr is far from a bridge QB in my opinion. I really hope he doesn't go to a team in our division.
  3. We also don't have a terrible oline and one of the worst defenses in the NFL like the Raiders do. And pretty sure Waller and Renfrow were hurt a good half of the year. I don't get the hate for Carr. Yes, I'd rather draft our QB than go after a FA, but Carr is better than a bridge QB IMO. I'm pretty sure I remember seeing that he has the most game winning drives and 4th quarter comebacks in the NFL since 2015, which gives you an idea of how terrible their defense has been since 2015. It's not his fault he played for probably the most dysfunctional NFL team for his entire career so far that has made countless terrible draft picks and many terrible FA signings.
  4. I wouldn't say height is a complete non-issue. It's tough for the smaller QBs to not have their passes batted down by linemen at the LOS on shorter routes. Mechanics can help negate that issue some (higher release point when throwing), but being 5'11" in the pocket vs. 6'3" in the pocket makes quite the difference. Think about how many passes Baker had deflected at the line and he has about 2 inches on Bryce.
  5. If stroud goes 1, then I say pass on the rest unless they fall to #9. That being said, I'm apparently 1 of the few big in stroud
  6. Let someone else trade up to #1. Our goal should be trade to #3 if we think Stroud is taken 4th or trade to #5 if we think the Colts will draft Levis. To get to #1 from where we are, we are possibly looking at having to give up our 1st round pick this year, 2nd round (39) this year, SF 2nd rounder, 1st round pick next year, and 1st round pick in 2025. Just not worth it IMO. To get to #5, I think we could get away with trading #9 and next year's 1st (or #9 and #39), depending on how many offers Seattle gets. #3 would probably take something like #9, #39, SF 2nd rounder, and SF 3rd round (or #9, next year's 1st, SF 2nd rounder, SF 3rd round). I think with several teams fighting 2 or 3 QBs, you could see some bidding wars to move up. The Saints win moving us back from #7 to #9 probably equals the cost of having to give away the SF 2nd rounder in any trade up. If we do trade, we absolutely cannot screw the pick up.
  7. Can we file a lawsuit against Rhule for him being a fraud of a coach...
  8. The touch Stroud has on his passes and the anticipation he is able to throw his passes with sets him far apart from Fields as a passer. I don't think there is a better QB in this draft that can throw the intermediate passes, particularly the out and corner routes, than Stroud. I still remember that Utah bowl game last year and the throws he made in that game were very impressive. Yes, his WRs have been elite the past 2 years, but he was still throwing dimes to his receivers and releasing the ball right as his receivers were making their cuts.
  9. Agreed we have no DE talent, but if you want to give Burns the highest contract ever for a DE (which I'm sure is something our dumbshit franchise would do), then I'm guessing your last name must be Hurney
  10. If we aren't trading Burns for 2 1sts and a 2nd, then I don't think our dumbass front office will trade him for anything
  11. This x100... I think the only sure fire stud at QB next year is Caleb Williams. Haven't seen enough of Penix (Pac 12 defenses are garbage) and saw a lot out of Drake Maye in the back half of the season that makes me worry about his NFL success. Not saying we should mortgage the future for a QB this draft, but we will be saying the same thing about the 2024 draft - "this class of QBs is overrated, wait until next year". Rinse and repeat for 20 years and you are stuck with a cycle of QBs including Teddy 2 Gloves, Sam, Baker, etc. If the Colts take Levis instead of Stroud, you absolutely trade up and get Stroud.
  12. Somebody gets it. In all honesty, what it is going to take is everybody turning off their tvs, not buying NFL merchandise, not going to bars during NFL games, etc. and hurt them in the wallet. TV ratings go down = less competition for ad time during NFL games. Less merchandise being bought = loss of revenue for NFL. Lower TV ratings = networks paying less for NFL rights. Unfortunately it will take all of us from all of the fanbases that don't get the "questionable" calls in our favor to just boycott spending a second of attention or a nickel on NFL. And this is something that will never happen. I've just invested much less time and money into sports the past few years and I am honestly a happier person for it. Sure, I wish the Panthers and other teams I root for were better, but I'll live if they suck and probably get a good laugh at them behind completely inept franchises.
  13. This x100 I promise you the refs don't do a do-over if the Chiefs get a 1st down or more there. Again, they have wanted to push this narrative of Mahomes winning a Superbowl on a bum ankle like he is Michael Jordan reincarnate...
  14. I meant to put the Ravens, accidentally put Cinci twice. I'm just saying that whole "there isn't much of a drop off from CMC to Foreman" is pretty crazy and apparently is what most of the huddle thinks. We completely misused CMC pretty much every year he was with us and when he goes to a SF team that has a competent staff puts up monster numbers without being forcefed the ball every play. I understand the run games opens up the pass game. I'm saying that even when the run game was dogshit like the Bucs game, Sam still managed to keep us in the game - which is something neither Baker nor PJ could do. When Foreman had dominant games, he wasn't getting touched until he was minimum 4-5 yards past the line of scrimmage. That's how a JAG RB like Hubbard can get 70+ rushing yards on like 12 carries. The only reason CMC was injured the previous season is because we tried to rush him back from the (can't remember if it was hammy or calf) injury before he was 100% and he kept reaggravating it over the season. Outside of that, the dude has only been injured the season before despite the ridiculous amount of touches he got with us and Stanford. And yes, I hated the trade. I knew SF was going to be at the very worst a divisional round loser and those picks would be late round draft picks. Those picks are not going to be worth anything close to CMC's value and honestly think the only purpose we took that bad trade was for a salary dump. But apparently because our retard coaching staff has no clue how to use CMC, it's a good trade in our minds because Foreman > CMC...
  15. Agreed that the NBA is rigged, but 1 bad call does not have nearly the level of significance that 1 bad call in the NFL does. And I'm not just talking about the last minute of a game. A free 1st down can be the difference in a punt vs 7 points, which is much bigger than possibly 2 points in the NBA
  16. I understand refs make mistakes, but we are talking about a type of mistake I don't think any NFL ref has ever made.... And they should absolutely get ripped by the NFL for it and never be allowed officiate another playoff game in their careers. And honestly, they should probably be on some type of probation and if they make another mistake of that magnitude, they never ref another NFL game again. It's one thing to screw up a PI call, it's another thing to give a team a free play for no reason whatsoever. I can't believe Zac Taylor didn't throw a water bottle or something at them for that level of ineptitude.
  17. I don't think I've ever seen the refs call a play dead when they didn't blow the whistle. Seriously, I still don't understand why the chiefs got to redo that 3rd and 9 play where the refs then call a penalty on the Bengals. The refs missed a clear block in the back on the punt return and I don't think called 1 single hold on the chiefs Oline the entire game. And again, when every single "questionable" call goes in favor of 1 team, are they really questionable or just helping the other team win?
  18. Ummm, you do realize the entire starting oline for the Bengals was out right... It looked like they had 5 byron Bell's out there blocking for burrow
  19. Watching games like this makes me realize there is no point in watching Panthers games. The refs completely influenced this game in the chiefs favor and has to be sickening to watch as a Bengals fan. As Panthers fans, we all know the NFL will never let us win a Superbowl, even if we happen to be way better than anybody else in the NFL
  20. I definitely wouldn't be opposed to Kellen Moore as OC. Look at the weapons the Cowboys have on offense. They got a great WR in Lamb, but the rest of their receivers are bums (so bad in fact that TY Hilton off the couch may have been their 2nd best WR). Zeke is washed up and Dak somehow led the NFL in INTs despite missing 1/3 of the season.
  21. Frankie Luvu is our best defensive player (it would be Horn if he could stay healthy)
  22. I guess he is the scapegoat for the Cowboys losing. Even funnier, the Cowboys might make McDooDoo their OC
  23. That is because we didn't need him to throw in most of the games he started because we were playing terrible run defenses and for the most part got relatively big leads. He was one of the only reasons we had a chance to win the "win-and-in" playoff game against the Bucs despite having zilcho defense and zilcho run game. He had an absolute stinker in the Saints game, but that was a meaningless game and against 1 of the more underrated defenses in the NFL when they are healthy. Prior to that game, I'm not sure we could have asked for much more of Sam. My point is that guy saying Foreman almost willed us to a playoff berth was far from the truth. In fact, Hubbard probably had as many yards as Foreman during our winning stretch when you factor in the differences in carries. I don't see anyone here saying Chuba almost willed us to a playoff berth... The oline played great in most of our wins down the stretch, which let our RBs pick up 1st down after 1st down and avoid passing altogether.
  24. You can't be this stupid can you... This would be like saying Kelce (or Jamar Chase or Mixon or whatever other elite player) sucks because he isn't getting any yards from what is the equivalent of a punter playing QB for them...
