Gonna probably guess this is kind of out of context. Im sure he would have preferred more competition, but that sounds and seems like more of a coaching problem than a program problem. Hes also echoing probably what a lot of players probably eventually feel when coaches sweeten the pot just to get a recruit they want to sign there. Regardless, he has instantly become the most interesting piece of our training camp.

Disagree, cj showed good development his rookie season, then dealt with poo last year. Im willing to see if he has the heart to fight, but he definitely has the skills needed, especially if jaycee can lock one side and donte takes the slot

thats kind of the point, it ignores the positive production where someone like Mayfield also has 43 TDs to 21 INT's over the past 2 seasons, and one of which was mired by injury.

Im not arguing whether or not race has anything to do with anything (FWIW, I felt there were times you could see the ole boys club, but there were times he faced legit criticism and I felt he had some who went to that point a bit to quickly)...buuut, there were reports like this, I also remember something about him "being mean" at the pro bowl or some poo. Sure sounds like what a ton of people said after cams first 3 seasons. "cAm CaNt WiN cLoSe GaMeS!". That said, I didnt watch much, they could be right, but after the idiotic rhetoric around Cam, I take that kind of criticism with a grain of salt. When teams run the ball at will against you, yards will remain low while td% stays high. We have the players to stop a pass game, but anyone with half a brain can see if we're giving up 5+ ypc, eventually teams will just run, grind clock and win.

I know I've seen many say "we just need a LT and a QB and we'll be alright", welp, you missed all of last season. there were glaring holes, we need talent, and best way to do that is more picks.

I'll get behind him in hopes that he's good. I also remember many on here hating the idea of mac jones and he was the best rookie qb of the bunch from last season. I've braced myself for him, imo they will trade back and get pickett in the middle of the first.
