Save money by living next door to your parents in order to use their parking spaces, use their washer/dryer, and not cooking at home (presumable... eating with mom and dad, but not confirmed) -

Then there's this 26-year old, making $120k/year as a software engineer in San Diego. He says, "I’m able to pay my rent, pay for expenses and cover the basic necessities. But I also feel like I’m unable to significantly save or invest in my future." https://www.cnbc.com/2021/11/01/how-much-3-software-engineers-earn-around-the-us.html -
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/11/02/video-tour-one-bedroom-rental-for-1000-per-month-in-bronx-new-york.html Let's take a look at this 40-year-old's living arrangement. Granted she says she doesn't live in this apartment because it's inexpensive, it just happened to work out that way. her 525 sq foot one-bedroom apartment in New York (more specifically, the Bronx) costs $1000 per month The median rent in the area is $1750, vs $3000+ in NYC proper Her parents live next door, so she uses their parking spaces, washer or dryer. She doesn't use her stove or her oven, so has had her gas utility shut off in the kitchen Pays about $200/mo for internet+phone_cable, and $45/mo for electricity. Obviously not mining bitcoin

Y'all remember the 2004 Super Bowl in Houston between the Panthers and some other team (which many claim to be The Best Super Bowl Ever, with the game coming down to the final set of plays that we should have won, dammit. we should have won). And if not still with the Best Super Bowl ever label, it definitely was the beginning of that game being actually interesting/competitive over the next 15+ years. But the Panthers were overshadowed that year by the infamous Janet Jackson/Justin Timberlake half-time show, which has gone on to gain more notorious than anything that happened on the field. FX and Hulu have announced that they are presenting MALFUNCTION: THE DRESSING DOWN OF JANET JACKSON on November 19th. It's from the same producers as the Framing Britney Spears special that aired recently. Hopefully there'll be some Panthers clips amongst the video they show.

Looking at the big picture, building a team question
PanthersATL posted a topic in Carolina Panthers
We all get focused on the trees (O-LINE, QB, RB situation etc). But let's take a step back and see how we're really doing and examine where our issue really is right now, vs where we can be in 1-3-5 years. And for all our complaining, we've made a ton of changes over the past x years, all to mostly the same outcomes... Is our issue... Ownership? Not really. We've had similar season records (and related play) under Richardson as we've had under Tepper GM? Jury's still out in the big picture, but we've changed our GM so let's see if that leads to on-field improvement. We've had moments of brilliance this year, let's see how it plays out. COACH? Not really? Can't tell too much in season two, but all our coaches have had various positive and negative on their records. Fox and Rivera both brought us to the Super Bowl. Even Capers got us to the playoffs in year two. Seifert seemed to have all sorts of trouble in his three seasons, so it looks like Rhule is not going to be ranked as our Worst Performing coach in the history book. A specific Asst Coach/Play Caller? In some cases -- maybe. But we've changed our play callers over the years. It's not like the NFL gives each team a unique playbook and says "you have to stick with this for the next 10 years" A specific player? Let's talk QB: we've changed out QBs (more recently than not). Our last 5 years' records in 2016-2017-2018-2019-2020 was 6-10, 11-5, 7-9, 5-11, 5-11 (Cam, Anderson | Cam | Cam, Heinicke, Allen | Allen, Cam, Grier | Teddy, PJ). Yes, Cam gave us the 11-5, but he was also involved in the 6-10 and 7-9 seasons too (and partially that 5-11 one). We had issues in 2019 and 2020... so let's say the issues WERE *only* the QB position --- then we're in process of fixing that, whether it be Teddy, Sam, PJ, or some other [insert name here]. So this is still in progress. Key Offensive: CMC is a major factor last season and this, so far. Playing him as much as we have didn't allow us to build up any replacement/alternatives. Greg Olsen was a machine; he proved how solid/important a good TE can be to get a QB out of a jam. We're also short in that department, comparitively speaking. And the WR crew... we like what we're building towards, if only the can hold onto the ball. Those dropsies are fixable. They have to be. O-LINE -- yeah, our o-line needs work this season and moving forward. Have the overall changes that in place now better or worse than what we've had over the last 5 years... or is it setting the base for the future? DEFENSE -- losing Luke and TD is tough pill to swallow, but our D has, over the years, been the more positive part of our team more often than not. A tweak here and there, and some extra spare wheels to spin in and out to keep those Thieves fresh, and we should be doing okay. Changes? Do we need changes here right now? My point (and I guess the question) is while we can all call out for "change this one thing, change that one thing" after every game -- we've made a lot of changes in the past 2 seasons. Are we making the right ones, and compared to other teams -- do you think we've been making the right choices overall? -

typical show breakdown: 8-10 mins of "what did we learn this week", usually focused on a team - or two, if we're lucky - that I don't care about 10 min recap of what they believe is "the game of the week", with NFL film package and some add't commentary. 3 game clips for 5 mins commentary 3 game clips for 5 mins Talk with an NFL employee (usually interesting) 3 game clips for 3 mins Picks segment 3 game clips for 2 mins 5 mins of closing commentary with comedy about Phil Simms's socks or something equally enlightening 10 second Panthers clip Roll credits

I've given up on watching Inside the NFL this season. The Paramount+ interface is laughable, and the playback of this program on the platform has been iffy at best (other programs work fine, which is weird) The amount of NFL Films clips they've used have become way bad in terms of Panthers coverage.

Tom Brady's 600th career touchdown netted one lucky Bucs fan: one bitcoin (from Tom) two signed Brady jerseys one Brady helmet one signed Mike Evans jersey Bucs season tickets for the rest of 2021 season Bucs season tickets for the 2022 season Tom said "he should have held out for more". As soon as he handed the ball over, he lost all negotiating power. The fan also asked for a round of golf with Tom (no answer on whether that's happening or not) True: Tony Romo repeated on the air, "a date with Giselle, a date with Giselle", leading to a bunch of anti-Romo commentary. https://www.si.com/nfl/2021/10/25/buccaneers-fan-returned-tom-brady-ball-request

Dancing with the Stars season 30 (oh, we know you watch)

it's either lazy teleprompter script writers, or Tyra and the other DWTS producers not having a clue... but Amanda Kloots was NOT dressed as Jigsaw last night. She was dressed as Billy the Puppet. Identifying the characters of a 9-film franchise is kind of a big detail to get wrong the other performances were pretty decent. the halloween episode is always worthwhile. -

From Peter King's FMIA this morning, suggesting that our Darnold situation may not be as bad as it could be: I think the Thursday night game told me one other thing: For the 11th time in 16 years next March, the Denver Broncos are likely to be in the market for a long-term quarterback. I empathize with Teddy Bridgewater, playing hurt the way he’s doing right now. But either Bridgewater or Drew Lock is going to have to show a lot more than they have in the past three months to convince GM George Paton to not pursue again the quarterback of the future in Denver. Those the Broncos have tried: Jay Cutler, Kyle Orton, The Golden Calf of Bristol, Peyton Manning (a different story; they knew he’d give them three or four very good years, he did, but Manning never was the “long-term” guy), Brock Osweiler, Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch, Case Keenum, Joe Flacco, Drew Lock and Bridgewater.

Here's a list of other NFL coaches who came from college. Some highlights below. there's some history to show some college coaches HAVE been successful in the NFL. Give Rhule some time -- these coaches were given a chance and it paid off for them. https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/college_coaches_who_successfully_made_the_leap_to_the_nfl/s1__34613570#slide_1 Pete Carroll (granted, he had prior NFL experience - but he spent 9 years at USC before joining Seattle) Chuck Fairbanks - went from Oklahoma to NE, and turned the team around in 3 years. Jim Harbaugh (yeah, had some prior NFL experience too before going to Stanford) Jimmy Johnson John McKay - left USC to helm the "NFL's ultimate fixer-upper, the worst in league history" and coached through a rebuild with #1 defense and post-season playf and the one that smells most familiar to our current situation: Bobby Ross - took the Chargers from 0-4 to the playoffs, despite Stan Humphries at QB

Dear David, I wrote you but you're still not calling, even though I left my cell, pager, and my home phone at the bottom. I sent you two letters back in the summer, but you must not have gotten 'em.
