No way this guy inspires a locker room of grown men. On top of that he has physical limitations, and is showing no improvement at all. It’s over for him. I honestly wouldn’t even take him as a backup if I’m a GM. We are only giving him a chance at this point because of what was invested in picking him, If we didn’t spend all of the draft picks, he would have been benched for good by now, and would never see the field again.

Perfect Way to Sum up how poo the Panthers Are.

Being this far behind, you would expect padded stats due to prevent defense. This is Young’s numbers with 9 minutes in the 4th quarter, down 42-6 Bryce Young#9 TEAM C/ATT YDS AVG TD INT SACKS RTG 18/30 150 5.0 1 0 1-11 84.0 18/30 139 5.0 1 0 1-11 84.0 -

We won, but Bryce and Canalas still blow

Today…….is not the day. Go enjoy the day, we beat the Falcons by 30 and shut them out. Jesus. -
I can’t tell you what our offensive identity is to be honest. The same issue with our last two coaches, we don’t do anything right despite all the investments we have made to the offensive side of the ball.

Smith was a great player in the NFL but his opinions can be very hit or miss. It’s hard to defend XL’s numbers especially when our other first round pick is getting heavier coverage which should free him up. Effort shows on film and you can’t deny that he has had lackluster blocking, route running, and most importantly RESULTS. -
Fug this team. We can’t even make it through two games every year before you know the season is over.

Rhule, Frank, Dave…. Do any of them seem like coaches who can be a hard ass and fire the team up? It’s a lot more important than you think. Same with the QB role

Scourton - Collapsed Lung, Week-to-Week
WarPanthers89 replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
He’s back at practice and looks like he has a chance to play week 1. Looks like this was not as bad as originally projected -
You can’t tell me Moore and Tremayne are better playing WR than Renfrow

Scourton - Collapsed Lung, Week-to-Week
WarPanthers89 replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
From chatGPT: Bottom Line While exact recovery will depend on Scourton’s individual condition and the Panthers’ medical evaluations, a week-to-week status typically aligns with a 2–4 week absence in an NFL setting. Summary: Mild cases: 1–2 weeks Moderate (common in contact sports): ~3–4 weeks Severe (rib fractures, complications): potentially 6–8 weeks or more I’d lean toward expecting Scourton to be out approximately 2–4 weeks, assuming no complications arise. -
This likely will not happen. We have Jewell with a decent cap hit, they like Wallace and want to see if he can be a starter for us, and just signed Rozeboom who was very solid for the Rams last season. Does not make a lot of sense to waste cap with three guys already penciled in as starters/depth.

Jadeveon Clowney upset about being released
WarPanthers89 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
“I got a sense then they wanted me out of the building,” Clowney said. “I was just like, ‘Y’all could’ve told me this back when I was coming in here during the offseason.’ I kind of had a sense, though. I’ve been around the game long enough to know, so I was OK.” I wonder why he got a sense they wanted him out of the building…..it’s because of his sh*tty attitude. Go back and listen to him talking about our QBs leadership skills (to the media) when he was just signed to the team and hadn’t even had time to gel with his teammates (all players know you don’t say things like that to the media….you keep it in the locker room). History repeats itself. He’s a player who is decent, gets signed to a team, they get tired of his attitude, and he’s on to another team one year later -

https://www.si.com/nfl/browns/browns-maven-features/jadeveon-clowney-remains-unapologetically-selfish He has a long history of this attitude which is why he has been playing on one year deals for so long. Teams get tired of his attitude and the team moral being brought down outweighs his talent. There is a reason why teams let him go even though he is a solid performing vet -
He took a pay cut already

Locker room chemistry 100%. Same reason why we let Johnson go. Someone times the players attitude can bring the team down more than the talent they have.
-
He ain’t coming back. His attitude seems to be a problem, and one of the reasons why he has been operating on one year deals for so many teams.

You have a point but he’s been performing better as the seasons progress, and has had a lot against him as far as surrounding talent and growing into the league. You want to see overall performance pointing up, and he definitely is after last season. Left tackles don’t grow on trees, and he’s one of the better ones in the league and just now only 24 years old. Some rookies from this draft are the same age him and he’s going into year 4.
