  1. I blame this on Rhule’s player evaluation, ex-OC Joe Brady and their trying to own the Saints, since they traded up to take him from under them. If he was a known injury risk someone should have been the sensible one in the room to pump the brakes.
  2. Yup, Mays has potential and provides good depth along the interior OL. The rest are expendable including Daley. He’s been a real disappointment. He had such potential when we drafted him a few years back. Not sure what’s happened to him.
  3. Agree on both. As stated earlier, if we can save $2M or so in cap space, I’m all for it. Pleasant was cut today but can be brought back on the PS. I don’t see us cutting Robinson over what happened last week. The guy makes plays and provides decent depth at safety, not to mention his value on ST.
  4. Sadly you may be right. Both of these duds can hit the bricks as far as I’m concerned. They’re both subpar.
  5. Had hoped for Brown but last night’s showing was abysmal. Rhule’s player evaluation leaves a lot to be desired.
  6. Yikes! That’s not good and one can only hope that a change of scenario and scheme may be what’s needed. I’d be happy with either Bozeman working out or a ‘23 rookie if this is the case. Thanks for the info!
  7. Mays has looked good so far. I’m expecting him to be in the mix for starting LG spot next year.
  8. I’m hoping the Panthers will consider adding Bradbury, Charlotte native and NCST alum, if he becomes a FA next year and Bozeman doesn’t resign. I read somewhere the Vikings may not exercise his 5th year option.
  9. Not a bad thing. Better to start him @ LG than throwing him to the wolves week 1.
  10. This is the best the ST has looked in a long time!
  11. Winner of best post of the day. Points well taken!
  12. Still hoping we can sign Carlos Dunlap. We’re going to need to compensate for the loss of Hassan Reddick.
  13. I’m expecting Dayvion Nixon to eventually fill the other DT spot. We’ve got decent enough depth to at least have a decent run defense this season.
  14. The soccer organization and Rock Hill facilities’ fiascos aside, I’m hoping the changes on the football side are an encouraging sign that Tepper is somewhat coming around and things are on a upward trend for the Panthers at least. Of course, whether or not that translates to success on the field remains to be seen.
  15. Switch BC and Ickey and you’ve got a pretty solid starting OL. Not sure if Ickey will be ready for LT out of the gate. He’s a bit undersized at T but he’s solid for LG. BC is too light and struggles on the interior but did a serviceable job at LT last season. I expect this will be how it looks for most of the season barring injuries.
  16. I think they should’ve left the silver on the teeth but it definitely works as is. Can’t wait to see them in prime time.
  17. Just confirmed during the press conference that he’s getting #6 from Hekker. Nice!
  18. Not really. Think about it. There’s no guarantee Baker will be resigned here when he hits FA, and clearly the coaching staff doesn’t want to rush Corral’s development by starting him before he’s ready. Bring in a young, solid QB to start and let Corral backup for a season. Only giving up a conditional 5th and $5M is icing on the cake.
  19. I think we sort of painted ourselves into a corner with the Hayward contract. I never liked the decision to give him that ridiculous contract - good player but too injury-prone at this point in his career. Pretty much makes all these moves necessary to keep Bridges and sign other FAs.
  20. Initially I was frustrated but the more I thought about it the more it made sense. Your breakdown just crystallized it. Nice job….thanks!
