  1. I’m a Clemson fan but I would absolutely love to hear his name called with one of our 2nd round picks (preferably #39). Watch him play a few times last season and he’s the real deal.
  2. https://theathletic.com/5394632/2024/04/08/nfl-mock-draft-2024-quarterbacks-drake-maye/?source=user_shared_article Not bad but based on this mock my perfect draft would be: #33 - Darius Robinson Edge/DE/Mizzou Jackson Powers-Johnson/C/Oregon (depends on which one Detroit goes with) #39 - Xavier Legette/WR/UofSC #65 -Peyton Wilson/LB/NCST
  3. Reading Gantt’s take on this is quite encouraging. Good to see the front office taking a fiscally responsible approach to FA. It’s a refreshing change from year’s past.
  4. Would be interesting but Staley will never leave USC for the pro. She’s got too sweet of a deal there.
  5. Probably more about scheme fit than anything else. He played better IMO in 4-3 the prior year as SLB. Not sure if that’s the reason he seemed slow last season or not. Could explain why the Panthers let him walk.
  6. Yeah more of a professional courtesy I’d say. This appears to be more of a “mutual parting” for Cliff and the organization in general. We definitely need new blood and a different energy going forward.
  7. That’s the dilemma though. If Bryce is not successful, the Panthers aren’t successful. And we’ve invested too much already to help him succeed. It wouldn’t make sense to invest all that on blocking but not other players that would fit what our QB does well.
  8. Even better. Darius Robinson would be a monster in this defense alongside Brown and Clowney. I just have a feeling he goes late 1st round.
  9. Sorry but I have to disagree. Check this video out. I found it very enlightening regarding the Mingo/Legette debate.
  10. Had stent surgery myself a few years back. Sorry to hear your having complications but hope you recover soon.
  11. Injury history concerns me also as well as the mediocre results with former NC State players, all due respect to Wolfpack fans. Personally, I’d go with Edgerrin Cooper out of Texas A&M. Instinctual MLB that’s a heat seeking missile on blitzes and has good coverage skills. Would be a good complement with Jewell and eventual replacement for Shaq.
  12. Hard to call Mingo a mistake with the sh—show we had last year. With three of our new coaches, including our HC, with a background in developing WRs I’m willing to give Mingo a mulligan in hopes that he’ll respond to better coaching. Maybe they can help TMJ aka Funchess 2.0 also but I’m less optimistic about him.
  13. This most teams aren’t easily giving up their draft capital especially their 1st rounders. We did well to get what we got for CMC when we traded him. Thanks to Tepper and Fitt we both failed to capitalize on a tremendous draft haul for Burns and got fleeced for Young.
  14. Good for him….and us. Too much moola for an injury prone 30 yo WR. Thanks NYJ!
  15. Definitely would be stoked to see him back in Carolina.
  16. Wow…hate that for him but no sympathy from me for the Saints.
  17. Wouldn’t mind tag of it happened. With Chase Young out of the picture, that’s certainly a possibility. Glad the Saints helped us with that one.
  18. Not to mention the FINEST looking reporter for Panthers news. Damn she’s gorgeous!
  19. You said it. Too inconsistent for me. Same for Clowney. Both overhyped underachievers. I’d rather find another pass rusher in the draft.
  20. Couldn’t agree with you more. C’mon ya’ll…we’re better than this. Aren’t we? And btw - I happen to agree with Mr. Young. Legette would be a great addition to our WR corps.
  21. I think either would be a great complement to Jewell but my preference is Cooper. That guy is a heat-seeking missile that would be lethal in our blitz scheme. Of course, the question would be how he would fit with Shaq just being restructured but I just think this kid deserves serious consideration if he’s there in the 2nd.
  22. Great write up! Edgerrin Cooper is a fast and furious ILB that would complement Jewell nicely in the 3-4. He would be a great selection in the 2nd. Xavier Legette would be a great addition to our WR corp in the 3rd or 4th.
  23. Maybe but Pickett demanded a trade because he didn’t want to be a backup in Pittsburgh, but he’ll backup Hurts in Philly???
  24. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/kenny-pickett-traded-to-eagles-heres-why-steelers-dealt-qb-after-introducing-russell-wilson-per-report/ This is bizarre
