  1. That's the point, There was talent at #39 and we simply picked the wrong guy. This isn't like QB, once the top few are gone is a total crap shoot. You can get solid, REALLY solid WRs into the 3rd round. Beyond that if you are lucky. I wanted Rashee Rice over Mingo. Tank Dell had a great year and was drafted after Mingo.
  2. Rhule is gone, Fitterer is gone and Tepper is supposed to be keeping his nose out of football operations. There's hope.
  3. I'm very aware of our 2nd round draft pick history at WR. However, it's #33, a new GM and a loaded draft class at WR. I'll take that over an injury prone dude and the offensive version of the guy we just traded to the Giants. Again, we ain't winning much next year. No need in screwing up our future cap for 1-2 more wins in 2024 by signing an overpriced WR. Signing Higgins isn't worth it. There will be a solid WR at #33, we just have to pick the right one.
  4. No, you don't. If Bryce is worth anything, he should be able to prove it. Just shore up the OL and give him some skill players. They don't have to be top 10 in their position group.
  5. We just got rid of our major cap headache and just got a top 2nd round pick. STOP WHILE YOU ARE AHEAD, DAN! Don't trade for Higgins. Don't do it, man. If you are tanking, embrace the tank. Half measures are EXACTLY how we got to this point!
  6. Don't like it. Pass. Take a WR at #33 which is essentially a late 1st rounder.
  7. Hey, comp picks coming in 2025 if we don't fug it up. Wait...
  8. TEs are getting scooped up like crazy. I liked Fant, but that's a bit steep.
  9. Besides not re-signing Luvu and getting the short end of the stick in the Burns trade in compensation, I'm not too upset about the cuts and signings thus far.
  10. A #2 caliber TE, WR and LB in FA. Starting caliber center in FA. Extend Brown now.
  11. Good number. Depends on injuries. Injury to Bryce for multiple games, over. If Bryce plays every offensive snap, under.
  12. I was angling for a 2nd/3rd this year and next year's first. That I would have been happy with. I had no misconception that the Giants were going to give up their #6 this year.
  13. Eddy Piniro, that's how. I mean, he got our two wins last year. Tell me I'm wrong. I'm not.
  14. Meh...as in you think the compensation was spot on or that was the best we were getting for him? I was even willing to spread the draft compensation over two...even three drafts as long as the value came through.
  15. I was willing to take a 1st and.... I realized the two 1sts ship had sailed, I wasn't delusional. But a fuggin' 2nd and 5th????
  16. I'm not mad Burns is gone or his enormous new contract. I'm upset about the compensation. Fug Scott Fitterer.
  17. Wrong thread Juan....this is the Brian Burns thread.
  18. Damn what did miss going to dinner and for some drinks?!?!?! People looked at me crazy when I yelled when the trade was announce on ESPN. A) I'm glad Burns, as a contract distraction, and his cap burden are gone. B) I'm pissed at the compensation. I went from elated to pissed and now I'm numb to the whole thing. I guess two first rounders is the MAXIMUM compensation for a franchise tag, not the law of the tag.
  19. We cut him or force a pay cut. Those are the options. Making the money is and sitting on the bench is not an option.
  20. I'm hoping either Allen or Estime will still be there at the top of the 4th. I'd snag one of those two in a heartbeat.
  21. Only center would make sense now.
  22. Small first year. We have plenty of cap space after 2024. I would be willing to bet that's why it's a 5-year deal when most others are only 3 and some 4. Had to tack on a year or two to compensate for the peanuts he'll make this season.
  23. I liked Queen coming out of college. I wouldn't mind this move at all.
