I've been barking up that tree for a few years now. I like Mayes as a solid IOL depth--IOL#4. I'd rather draft a center that has played it his entire college career.
-
I still can't believe we turned down the Eagles offer for Burns. Full blown rebuild coming our way and turned down two 1st rounders, one likely this year. I get it, can't make the tank too obvious for multiple reasons. I mean, I was cool keeping Moore even though he looks like he doesn't give a crap anymore. Firing coaches at this point is simply window dressing. We are a bad team even if some dead weight is let go.

Rhule's draft crush. No, seriously.
-
Lol, yes we do and a lot of draft sites don't have TE as a draft need.
-
Again, If we somehow drop out of the top 5 by draft day, move back and take Michael Mayer.
-
So if anyone doesn't have TE as a top 3 draft need now, there's no hope for you

PFF grades from Panthers' Week 8 vs Falcons

That contract has a bit of Rhule stench to it. Rhule loved him some mediocre players. -

One, I think...possibly two. Dude is legit SLOW! Looks like he's running in quicksand after a catch. -
Big time on the Mayer train, but failing to move Burns scrapped that notion. We will not move back in the top 5 and Mayer won't last to #33.

Rd1-QB -Bryce Young/Alabama Rd2a-TE -Dalton Kincaid/Utah Rd2b-DE -Andre Carter/Army Rd3-MLB -Jack Campbell/Iowa Rd4a-WR -Jermaine Burton/Alabama Rd4b-OLB -Payton Wilson/NCSU Rd5-C -Joe Tippman/Wisconsin Lol, I've run nearly that identical simulation! It's based on need too. I've looked at our cap for next year and Elflein, Wilson and Haynes needs to be cap casualties. So that's a C, MLB and edge.

One more start after this week and we get to keep our 4th round pick in 2024! C'mon PJ, don't sh!t the bed now!!!

That Ian Thomas contract is looking better all the time! -

I don't even know where to begin...this is the NFL and average means sucks. You would be correct, our TEs suck. -

A hold, BUT the defense had a penalty too, so they offset. The play therefore didn't count.

Look at Ickey with a clean sheet!

Derrick Brown is really starting to dominate
45catfan replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
An extension needs to happen anyway to help out with next year's cap. Fortunately for us Brown is earning it. -
While both true, that doesn't mean Marshall will be substantially better. He's not too shabby, but for a former 2nd rounder, he's got to show a lot more.
-
I'm not sold on Marshall yet. He shouldn't have been benched all year, but he's hardly exploded on the scene either. It's a wait and see.

After today? Foreman for sure.

When the offense has been THIS anemic for such a long time? It's a step in the right direction. Look Matt, take your millions stop sucking off the Panthers hind tit. I guess winning 5 games a year is a feat by holding teams under 17 points is worth beating your chest over, but finally showing a pulse on offense and the defense having an uncharacteristic off game is something I'm okay with.
-
By holding them to the Rhule threshold of under 17 points. Three squandered opportunities today and the 17 point threshold wasn't the deciding factor.
-
We didn't get our arses totally kicked in ATL is new too. Normally it's a cake walk for them against us at home.

as of right now do you want wilks as the HC next year
45catfan replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I wouldn't mind him staying on as the DC. I'm over defensive minded HC, however. With a 99.9% chance we are drafting a QB, Wilks isn't that dude to develop him. -
No, unfortunately. That's the reason the next HC hire is so crucial. I like Wilks, but it needs to be a offensive minded dude with a background in developing QBs. However, I do not want to sign a wet nurse either. Waste of money and roster space.
