  1. My point went over your head. Let me use the NBA as an example then. You have a good team, but can't seem to get over the hump in the playoffs for the ring, so said team goes out and tries to get Steph Curry because the Lakers got Labron that lead to a ring. My point, trying to buy a championship just because it seemingly worked for another team. The Chiefs can ultimately screw up that plan for the Bucs. Rogers is arguably better than Brady at this stage, but not by much and Aaron's edge is purely in his arm strength. However, that wasn't my point.
  2. If that's the case and it comes to fruition, expect the 49ers to trade up to #7 with Detroit. As long as that trade occurs prior to draft day, I kind of wish it would. That way we know Detroit is out of the QB market (won't be moving up) and all be have to do is move 2 or 3 spots ourselves ahead of San Francisco to get our guy. The Bengals are not in the QB market and Philly seems to be trying to patch things up with Carson Wentz. If the 49ers move on from Garoppolo, they are the biggest threat to jump ahead of us.
  3. Uh, he had a couple of D1 offers, but chose to go to NDSU because they are a powerhouse. He can't help that his conference chose to shut down the season. LOl! He won't last outside of the top 10. Teams could care less what you think of him. If we are dumb enough to pass on him at #8...assuming he's even available then, multiple teams will be on the phone to move up to snag him. Oh yeah, are you a Chinn fan...you never answered?
  4. Yep, the same level of players on his side too, otherwise they would all be at FBS schools, right?
  5. Good for you man. You a Chinn fan?
  6. 16-0, zero picks and a Natty as a redshirt freshman. Lucky, I guess.
  7. South Dakota, another FCS school.
  8. This is why you take Lance at #8. Some actual film breakdown.
  9. Yep, thinking they can replicate the Buc's meteoric rise due to Tom Brady. News flash: like him or hate him, there's only one Tom Brady.
  10. Not me and I'm arguably one of his biggest supporters here. In fact, I WANT him to sit at least the first half of the season and will be fine with the entire season. The one qualifier being he gets some game reps in clean up duty or if we're getting blown out. I would prefer he gets some spot duty before assuming the helm.
  11. You don't sit the #7 overall pick for multiple seasons. Complete waste of valuable draft capital. If you think a QB needs 2+ seasons to be ready, you don't take them that high.
  12. Me as well. I didn't hate the CMC pick, I thought we could have traded back and still got him. The only way I wanted to stay at #8 (ironic draft slot, right?) was if Thomas or Fournette fell. Neither did. I figured OJ Howard or CMC would be there if we traded back. Howard fell to the Bucs mid-round. Would CMC have lasted several picks later if we traded back? Again, I didn't hate the CMC pick, simply thought it was a bit rich at #8. This was the draft year when I began going hard core for a starting caliber TE to compliment and eventually replace Greg Olsen, not to mention the subsequent drafts. What a obvious, glaring oversight by the team brass.
  13. Teddy will start the season folks. Trading for a veteran upgrade is straight up mortgaging the future and even if we draft a rookie, they aren't starting the first game if Teddy is completely healthy.
  14. We think a LOT alike. Exactly the same here. I was at a draft party the year we took TD. I told everyone that we are going to take the safety out of Georgia with our pick and people were like a SAFETY, really? Yep, admittedly wrong on Cam, Luke and CMC too. But right on most first rounders, including KB and Butler being busts; obviously not the guys I wanted.
  15. Who would that be? With all the uncertainty of grooming a young QB, teams with even average starters aren't going to send some sweetheart package for an unknown commodity. That's the reason the Stafford-Goff trade was so eye-popping. Two guys that are known commodities in the League. I don't buy it for one second. Maybe if the Jags somehow were shopping the #1 pick ( for Trevor) I could see someone packaging something ridiculous, but not for any of the other three.
  16. It all hinges on the Jets at #2. Nobody is trading up that high and if the Jets actually do trade back, they obviously have made their choice sticking with Darnold. You don't defer on the remaining pick of the litter if you are serious about getting the best one. If the Jets roll with Darnold at bare minimum, one of the remaining 3 QBs will be there at #8. Now, will it be the Panthers preferred guy? Who knows? I know which of the three I want.
  17. And exactly what is that? Dude can make every throw. What offense wouldn't that be a perfect fit for? I'm not exactly sure what you mean by our scheme. I mean, he can hit a check down pass...that was the bulk of our 'scheme' last year
  18. If the Jets stick with Darnold (50/50 proposition) and nobody trades up (still not buying the Falcons are moving on from Ryan) we could be sitting there at #8 with Wilson, Fields and Lance as options. Yes, I still draft Lance.
  19. San Francisco and Denver are the only two that come to mind unless someone comes from way back in the pack. While both of those teams have "iffy" QB situations, they are not dire situations. Both of those teams could just as likely go into 2021 with their current guy.
  20. I can think of 31, well 30, other scenarios first. Cam ain't backing up Winston....anywhere. Dude is waaaayyyyy to prideful. He knows he's better than Jameis and won't take a back seat to him.
