  1. Realistically LB or Edge would be the best options, especially if we stay mid-round like we are now.
  2. We got bullied by a one win team...at home. We deserve to get pooed on.
  3. I get it, turn over every rock. I'm just saying out of the usual suspects like Garner Minshew, look at a dude that most people have turned the page on already.
  4. Dang it's like the Saints were reading the Huddle. We all said if a defense could take Rico away, and make Bryce beat them, it was a certain win for them. Which of you is the mole? Or it was that fugg'n obvious....
  5. His biggest problem was he was a one system, one year starting RSO at powerhouse DII school before declaring for the draft. All of that worked to his disadvantage. No idea how to work in a different system, started just one season (plus one more game) for ND St. who steamrolled over all the competition. While he was blowing out teams, it was DII talent after all. He honestly had zero business declaring for the draft. He clearly was not even close to being ready for the NFL, let alone a NFL blueblood like the 49ers with an offensive minded HC expecting nothing but excellence out of his QBs. To top it off, he got hurt early in the season and struggled to get healthy. So yeah, he got a raw deal, but I'm willing to bet the QB he is now is not remotely the QB the 49ers kicked to the curb so early in his career.
  6. Bryce can't throw 40 yards down field. Lance has a connon and could throw Bryce 40 yards down the field.
  7. Hey @Captain Morgan, got a draft crush yet? Mine is Mendoza. Yes, I know it's not happening, but his arse better not being wearing gold and black next year. That would be like pouring lemon juice, vinegar, Pepper 'X' oil and salt into an infected paper cut wound.
  8. To sweeten the deal have language about an open competition. As a FA, he could sign just about anywhere as a pure backup or just stay in SoCal backing up Herbert. I bet he's chomping at the bit a get a shot at starting again. I highly doubt he gets an undisputed QB1 gig anywhere, that's the reason I would put verbiage about an open QB1 competition to brush aside any purely backup deals and that would put us at the head of the line.
  9. Huh? Where are you getting your info, lol? I guess the places you are looking still has folks like Arch, Moore, Sellers, Mateer, etc...all going Pro this spring. Nothing is certain yet as it is still early, but most, if not all the underclassmen have been leaning heavily to going back to school from multiple sources.
  10. Photoshopped his head onto a Panthers uniform.
  11. He's started 5 games guys...FIVE! Spot duty in another 8. How in the world can anyone definitely say he sucks? Just because 49ers fans soured on him and said he sucks after an injury riddled rookie season and being behind the learning curve. The dude has been in the League 4 years and is 25-years old! He's Penix age now when Penix was a rookie. He's been in multiple systems now, healthy and obviously has a better feel for the Pro game than he did as a super-raw rookie.
  12. L-O-A-D-E-D!!! We aren't cutting Bryce. At worse, he plays out his rookie deal without getting the 5th year option. No need to panic. What we need to so is a find a bridge QB NOW for the 2027 rookie and let the young fella sit most or all of his rookie year.
  13. Nice. Allar is intriguing. He's a medical red flag. I'm not sure when he would be available. However, we aren't moving off Bryce at least until '27, so he'd have time. I'd be shocked if Young is not our starting QB next year. The OL needs some reinforcement, I agree . Moton's contract is a beast as well as the guards we signed in FA. Corbett is hurt all the time and BC is nice depth, but a mediocre starter. Defense is a must. You hit some critical areas--Edge, LB, CB. I would like to see another safety as well.
  14. Lol, I'd take this draft in freaking heartbeat! To say it's unrealistic is an understatement.
  15. White has had some success in the League, albeit very brief. That's better than Hookers zero experience.
  16. How strong is this belief--like a fiver wager or betting your house sort of conviction? I'm convinced Canales is ready to move on, he has zero ties to Bryce, but I'm not so sure Morgan is quite ready to turn the page yet, especially if his boss isn't ready to move on.
  17. Ok, we ain't making the playoffs unless something insanely crazy happens and plus it's November, time to start planning for the draft this spring. Pretty simple, list our positions of need, address in the draft (or left to FA) and round we should draft that need. Currently we have 8 selections, the actual slot in each round still to be determined by finishing order, but I can't see a huge swing one way or the other. (This as of Week 10) Needs: (no particular order) ILB, CB, DL, Edge, S, QB, IOL, OT Rd1: ILB/EDGE Rd2:OT Rd3:Edge/ILB (opposite of round 1) Rd4:S Rd5-a:CB Rd5-b:QB Rd6:IOL Rd7:DL
  18. I can't remember who the poster was, but earlier in the year when we were making W-L predictions I said that I wouldn't count on sweeping the Saints and that person said something along the lines like he'd quit being a Panthers fan...or something like that if we could sweep the Saints. I wonder if this person will fess up now, lol!
  19. We historically don't win in Atlanta. We aren't beating the Rams or on the road versus the 49ers. The Seahawks are for real and it's the Darnold revenge game (we always get slobber-knocked in revenge games). Tampa is actually playing better on the road than at home this season That leaves two games I think are possible wins, the Saints and the last game in Tampa if they rest players because they can't improve playoff positioning.
  20. I don't think you frequent the draft sub-forum, but my argument for us to draft Warren (yes, that was my draft crush) was WR classes are increasingly deep draft after draft, but TEs like Warren or even Bowers are a once a draft or once every several drafts type of prospect. If you have a chance to grab a dude like that you don't pass them up. You can get legit WRs deep into round one or even on the second day, no problem. There's usually not just one can't miss WR prospect in any draft class. At most you have one TE, if any at all, in a given draft class.
